IEunuch's mucking around in the bowels of the Eunuch Archive seems to have removed at least one blockage. I just received 37 messages in my in-box, the oldest of which was sent to me on May 8! I suspect that mine was not the only blockage.
If you wrote to me months ago and recieved no response, this may well be the reason. I'll get to all of the newly arrived as quickly as possible.
Now, if we can only get the story submissions back up and running....

That explains why messages so old they went to my archive directly instead of sitting in my inbox for a month.
Re: Glitch
Our e mail system has been fucked up for about 2 years. IE and Talula finally got it fixed today. The net result is that a humongous flood of emails, some dating as far back as a year and more, were suddenly released from the ether-like bowels of the EA, and flooded us like a backed up sewer. How's that for a description? I got about 875 of them. I've heard from several others who received hundreds. It should all be over with now.

Gee, I only got a hundred or so messages. Happily some of them were last year's birthday greetings. --FLO--

Re: Glitch
I'm glad to see the email functionality of the message boards has been restored, although I must admit that it was somewhat accidental. I had asked for the board to be upgraded to PHP5, and for at least a basic mailserver program to be installed for the upgrades I am working on, and it seems that those software packages have restored things here.
All credit for this should rightly go to the man from BME, who was the one that actually installed and configured those packages for us. Any part I played was merely accidental.
I'm glad to see that at least one of the technical issues with the archive has been resolved, though. Progress is being made.

I take my hat off to anyone who can figure out a program. I was not complaining but you can imagine the shock I had to see 500 (exactly 500) emails. It only confirmed how much time I waste on the computer.
