According to the article I beat the odds. I was castrated in 97 at the age of 41. I am still alive and healthy.

Basically, the study is very poorly designed and controlled, and the results are merely suggestive and are definitely not conclusive.

In addition to being poorly designed and poorly controlled, the population that was studied was already seriously ill BEFORE becoming part of the study population. The report states that they had an average of FIVE chronic illnesses each.

Since every other study that I have seen suggests exactly the opposite conclusion, I think that this study can safely be dismissed as anomalous until much more, and better, work is done.

I agree with Kristoff and how he thinks the study is poorly designed and controlled. I have low T levels and without Balls since 1998 and being over 50, I should be dead.

Thank goodness Kristoff is a wise man... I look forward to many more years here at the Archive.

It would be a sad day when all us oldies (but goodies) leave the Archive for good.

Well I don't BELIEVE everything I read in the "PAPER" but the TOPIC was TESTOSTERONE.. I always thought the T was the culprit in Prostate Cancer and what I thought I learned that it is the 2nd ? larges KILLER of males. Just my weague memory at this moment. /??? So I figure getting rid on my T is a good thing and I am working on it with the HERBS .. sort of. I am not quite a woman yet .. Hi /N3RF

I felt much better after testosterone RT. I do have frequent prostate examinations. I do have cardiovasuclar problems and I am diabetic. I assume that my testosterone levels have fallen since I had HRT, but I am aware of slightly more libido.

I am willing to take some risks. I would like to continue HRT as I age, but I have not talked to my doctor about doing that.

I don't mind dying. Givng up making love has, however, been difficult.
