before tonight i was seriously castrating myself (origin style) for one main reason. i am a 19 yr old male with a pretty potent sex drive (like most 19 yr olds) and i really want to be able to look at men and women the same, with the same loving look like Jesus was able to. i suppose im kind of similiar to this other 20 yr old kid who was posting here, but the things ive seen on this sight are so appalling that i am absolotely flabergasted beyong belief and i have some major questions that would absolutely love to be answered if possible (most people here seem to be very open)

1. the way i was planning on doing it was use a butcher knife then seal the wound with an iron, i know its old school but whatever lol (i was definately going to do medical research first of course). is there any form of self castration that works? i know origin did it and lived.

2. why would anybody who is castrated have a "partner." when i saw this notion on this sight an unparalleled confusion swept me. males castrating themselves then having wives? this is literally the most unfathomable thing i have ever heard of and am very curious as to why this would ever be.

3. this idea of sexual arousal about castration. call me old fashion but that doesnt seem like something that should be welcomed to a group of eunich people. the idea of making it sexual seems like a perversion of its main goal.

4. (this is the most important one to be answered) it seems that most people on this sight feel superior to other gendered humans. i have heard the line "living on a higher plane." but what makes you think that? your brain was one way before, and now it is another way. who is to say what is higher or lower. sure, maybe you are more peaceful, but what about defending those you love? or being able to stand up for those who are weak. and the main thing that showed me this is not the way of life i want is memory loss. i dont see the "higher" plane of life being fulfilled in nerfed mental abilities. the more emotional thing is understandably thought of as "better" because of its "intuneness" with nature and fellow people, but if this is artificially brought on it doesnt seem to be a "higher" level at all, especially because females are that way but to a greater extent (depending on the drugs you take)

5. also, what is all this hormone buisness? is this sight mainly for people who want a sex change? i guess i dont really get why everyone here is taking all these different hormones all the time. isnt the point to be a normal human but without "maleness?" are hormones neccesarry for existing without testicles?

im not trying to be distrespectful here but i am in awe at many of the topics on this sight and many of the things ive read, perticularly noting the guy who became obsessed with the sexuality of castration and wanting to do it for "pleasure." it almost seems like this site is a hangout for nice peaceful eunuchs and pyschosexual perverts at the same time. is there harmony here?

It takes all kinds. If you don't have an open mind, this isn't the place for you. What appals one may entice another. Your intentions may sound good at the onset, but at your age, much more thought is required. I think everyone here would tell you that.

(Origen?) did it and lived.

Back in the day, castration with a knife and red hot irons was one way of doing it. About the only way of doing it, really. Keep in mind that the one being castrated usually had no choice, however, and was very well restrained for the PAINFUL surgery. I seriously doubt that anyone could slice off their own balls and cauterize the wound in one swat without help...which would also more than likely lead to adverse complications. Keep in mind that the fatality rate of ancient castration was generally quite high.

It takes all kinds. In some instances, it's beneficial, mutually. For some, a relationship, be it gay or straight, survives the castration and moves on on another level. There's this thing called lonliness, too...while that might have been a useful tool to use on eunuchs of the dim past, there's no reason to put up with being lonely in today's world - sexual being or not.

Again, it takes all kinds. What arouses one may scare another. You don't get aroused by dressing up as Star Wars characters, do you? Well, I do. Appalling? Maybe. I might well be appalled at what triggers YOUR high sex drive, too. But I promise not to complain about it.

With diminished sex hormones well into adulthood comes a change in Mindset, let's call it. Some call it the "eunuch calm". Some call it other things. Whatever the label, the hormonally-deficient adult WILL experience some type of mental shift. I don't think that I consider myself (being hypogonadic) on a higher plane because of it. My mind just works differently than it did before.

"Normal" has no meaning here in this zoo. Some here are transgendered - MTF or FTM. Some are ungendered (non-hormonal castrated males, let's say). Some are something else, and even they're NOT sure what! Let's say "otherly gendered", then. Some eunuchs take testosterone (HRT) to maintain energy levels and fend off health problems associated with castration. Some uncastrated males take hormones or drugs to suppress the sex drive, as a trial run to life without hormones. I would suggest this to anyone considering castration. That way you get a feel of what you're in for...for life. Still, others take some level of female hormones, for much the same reasons.
