Master Rick in North Carolina

Hi All,

As you may be aware, "Master Rick" has spent months in a North Carolina county jail on a trumped up charge of "castration without malice" which one would hardly expect to stand up in court. However, he has not made the ridiculously high bail that was set for him, and has spent the summer behind bars.

I sent him a card a few weeks ago that just said a lot of us were keeping him in our thoughts and prayers. He sent me a very gracious reply and described this situation as "dismal" (I can imagine!).

If you would like to send a card, a note, or a post card from your travels this summer, his address is: Rick Sciara, Haywood County Detention Center, 1620 Brown Ave., Waynesville, NC 28786. Remember, his mail is read before he receives it, so no references to his "work" and no nudie post cards!

Please don't misconstrue my intent here. I cannot endorse Rick's practices, some of which put people in the hospital. I'm just saying that, whatever you may think of what he was doing, he's a decent guy stuck in jail. A fifty-cent post card would probably make his day.
