Test run questions.

I have my fantasies, but before I'm willing to take any permanent steps there are some conditions I've set for myself. One is to spend time (preferably atleast a month) speudo-castrated: to clarify, temprary chemical castration. I've read up that Depo Provera should do the trick and should be reversable for the timespan I'm planning. However, reading threads abouth others on hormones, I hear reports of breast development fairly quickly. I'm looking for some way to see what living without testosterone will feel like without making any permanent changes, does anyone have any wisdom to share?
PS: If DP really is the way to go, and won't give me any negatives for the amount of time I'm planning, does anyone know how I can get ahold of a month's dose, seeing as how it's a controlled substance?

I agree about the Androcur. One 50 mg per day and 3 mg of estrofem (if you want to feminize too), did wonders for me. I stopped for a while due to very firm boobs and very sensitive nipples. Will restart with just Androcur, and see how it goes and maybe add Estrofem later. Limp is no problem with androcur.

Androcur is probably the best (and easiest) way to go for chemical castration. I would, however, question the time frame you have in mind. Although you may experience the physical effects in that short amount of time, you may not experience the emotional ones. Ones that, in my opinion, are far more important than just the physical aspect of castration. I would suggest at least a 6 month trial on Androcur to fully feel it's effects. Even at that lenght of time, it will still be reversable, but should give you a better understanding about what it's all about. And as long as you don't take any female hormones you shouldn't have any lasting feminizing effects either.

I was on androcur for over 2.5 years before my castration. I ended up taking 150mg a day. I found no difference between chemical castration and the real thing. I would say half year would be the shortest test run. You are making a big change in your mind and body. There is no going back once done.
Wish you luck

I'd thought about the time length after the post, and decide I should probably consider 3-6 months. I'm trying to avoid feminization, so it sounds like as long as all I take is the Androcur I should be able to live the lifestyle and get my origonal body back eventually (no permanent gain of breasts, or loss of genital size/production?) Now one of the features that attracted me to Depo Provera was that you could take a month's dose at a time. What are the dosage and delivery options for Androcur?

VergerWolf, It's really a matter of choice: Androcur or Depo-Provera. I chose DP because it's less expensive. I tend to forget to take pills unless I am really sick. I have no fear of needles so that was not a question.
I am in my 4th day of DP. I can't say that as of yet I feel much different only that during the last 12 hours I was not constantly thinking about sex. During the night for the first time I had a minor erection.
You can get DP for $75.00 (including shipping) from Global Drug. They are fast in shipping and it generally arrives in 10 days.
My regiment is one shot per week for 4 weeks, then once a month. The 3 vials of 150m is $25.00 each, so $25.00 USD is really inexpensive to achieve our goals of lowering the testosterone. I can spend that much on a restaurant and really have nothing to show for it.

i am 26 and planing really to get castrated but as i readed this (i cant remember where) i decided before to try it and in this way i dont need to go under the knife.

Yay! Not only have many of my questions been answered (Talking in some private messages I've decided to go with DP, both because of its dosage options, but because I was informed that it should help minimize feminization during the trial) but I've helped inspire someone to also try before he buys! I'm afraid I have no idea where the line is, Nonshocked, but I'm glad you're going to test the water before you fulfill your desire/fantasy. Going all the way is a one-way road.

Not exactly true. While it is possible to use Androcur for a long period of time, you will not become pemanently castrated (if this were true many would have done this already). What will happen, in as little as six months to a year, is you may become impotent or sterile. That much is almost guaranteed.
The testies are very resilent and will bounce back from a lot of damage both physical and chemical. The only permanent way to stop testosterone production is physical castration.
Also, do not forget that the longer you are on Androcur the more likely it is to develop liver damage.

I have been following the chat here for some time.
After year of deisring to be castrated I finally decided that I would give it a test run with Androcur. Got shipment this morning and took my first dose. Am looking forward to a greatly owered libido in the coming weeks.
