Implantable rod good for 3 years ?? I read something in the Washington Post this morning July 19, 2006, Page A7 about Implanon.

And what is the cost for the Organon USA product and the cost to insert the 1.5 inch rod for 99 percent contraception protection underneat the skin of the underarm ??

It exhumes Progestin and I wonder if this would do the Chemical Castrati any good ?? / N3RF

Thats interesting. The one I read about was a pill, I think, that was progesterone or progestin but also had some testosterone in it. It's likely that this new implant has testosterone in it too though. But I could be wrong as implantable testosterone hasn't been approved by the FDA yet. (I don't think) So it could be that this implant is being planned to be used in conjunction with testosterone injections for male birth control. In that case, someone could go request to be put on it for this purpose and just simply not take his shots. . .

Never mind. Its just for women. Don't know if a doc could legally prescribe to men.
