If you have no testosterone for years and are virtually impotent, and then go on HRT after lets say 5 years, would your penis go back to how it was before the testosterone drop? I mean, would you get regular hardons, or is there a large chance that you would still be impotent, or almost so?

I am still able to achieve erections and the only thing I think testosterone would do for me other than the return of body hair and greater desire would be the ability to ejaculate. Without testosterone my orgasms are dry. My penis might return to it's pre castration size.

Perhaps there is a difference between people that get erections regularly even though they have no testosterone.

There has been studies that the structure of the penis changes when testosterone is removed, but this might also partially be because there are no erections. The smooth muscle tissue is supposed to be reduced, while collagen takes its place.

So, if you have had no erections at all for years, would it still be up for the task if you go on HRT and would the prostate grow back fully to its previous state?

Steve, I have a close friend who is a eunuch, castrated several years ago. I've seen pictures of his thingie, "up" and "dangly" before he was snipped and, in comparing it with "hands-on" contact with it (blush) I can say it did shrink a bit.

His peepee was never a biggie in the first place, however.

As of late, he's taken to using a pump on it pretty frequently in an attempt to maintain size. I guess it's working OK so far, but time will tell.

I have had the benefit of low ( very low ) testosterone levels for several years. Yes I lost some penis size. I've been on testosterone replacement for about 2 months now and I can tell the difference. After a year or so , if I keep going that long, I'll try to see if it's gotten any of it's size back. It doesnt shrink per se, but year and year out of erectionlessness..has the penis as an after though..so it is smaller and flaccid and utterly not a consideration...I was castrated 11 months ago...no HRT..as my owner and I agree that erections are not for slaves...

Most of what I've read says no. For men on HRT their testes most of the time do shrink. Of course if your castrated they can't get any smaller!
