Well, guys and gals (TG's), I have decided on chemical castration.

Because the Message Board crashed just as I decided it, I would appreciate any information.

I am leaning to Depo-Provera. Androcur scares me.

Also, I would like to try Herbal Castration first.

What are the general doses of:

1. Depo-Provera (for a newbie)

2. Androcur

3. Is Androcur used with Depo-Provera?

4. What dosages with Saw Palmetto, Vitex and Gohoosh?

in my experience 50 mg in a month

a shot of DP 50mg is effective for 30 days therapy

a shot of DP 150 mg is effective for 3 months

Tazio, thanks for the info. I have only found DP in 150mg but I am willing to try that.

I did herbal for years and the only thing that I got out of it was a big loss of money. I went the androcur chemical castration way. It was very effective. I had no change from the chemical castration to the real castration. No change in effects or results. I been castrated 9+ months and am no different then I was a year ago when on the drugs.

bobbie, for now I am going for Depo-Provera. If I like the effects, the I will go physical castration.

I have been on Androcur for way in excess of 2 years now. The results are good. But I have to admit, I have no set date for the real thing yet. Who knows maybe I will just stay on Androcur for the rest of my life.

Congrats on your decision to go ahead with chemical castration. Since you will be new to doing a self injection, I might also remind you (and others wanted to do self injections) to read up on this thread (http://www.eunuch.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=8434) about how to do a proper injection.

Christina, thank you and thank you for the support. I am not afraid of needles just afraid of hitting a vein or having air bubbles in the needle.

I teach six doctors but would be afraid to ask one of the them.

I believed you. Congratulations. I remember when I ordered my first batch in Jan 1, 2004. It was head rush when I took the first pill. I don't believe two years of the meds have hurt me. It has positive. I no longer have any interest in porn. I am so much calmer than my whole life. I have changed in so many ways over the last two years. Even though you are on Depo, you'll find the same things. I wish you the best.
