I have degenerative disc disease which causes me a lot of pain. Back pain does cause your testicles to hurt and I suppose painful testicles can cause back pain. Once my testicles were removed I lost the pain I felt through them. Before you look to get castrated just to remove pain, I would find out the cause of the pain. Get your back X-rayed and see if that might be the problem. I didn't get castrated because my back caused my balls to hurt, but I'm sure glad they don't hurt any more. Now if I could get my back fixed I'd really be happy. Good luck finding out what's wrong. Steve

It sounds like the first thing you need to do is FIRE your doctor and get a new one. If you are experiencing chronic pain and there is even some visible manifestation that you can show (even just discoloration), your doctor should be much more aggressive in trying to find out what's wrong.

I agree with Steve that you shouldn't do anything drastic until you're certain of the diagnosis, but you need to find a doctor willing to provide that diagnosis.

I agree totally with Jesus and Hairless. Fire the doc and retain another that's wiling to address your issues. If you understand that your balls are a source of pain and discomfort, then there is some logic in at least considering their removal as a solution. While it took me a long time to come to that view myself, I've never regretted being castrated. Of course, if the link can't be made, then there's little logic in having your balls severed for that reason.

Been there, done that...fired 8 doctors in a row who either didn't have a clue or refused to admit that a man could have chronic testicle pain. Good luck in your search for someone who knows what they are doing.

Has your doctor ordered an ultrasound on your testicles? Anything to check their health? When I worked in healthcare you see people who display the same symptoms for the same problems but if you are one of the unlucky ones whose symptoms present differently they will think it is in your head. These days you have to demand quality of care. I agree with firing your doctor if he will not do anything. Now is the time to assert yourself.
