Decision Made & Going For It!

After giving the idea of castration much thought and contemplation over the past many years, being who I am and what I am, and after having some very serious discussions with my spouse on the topic since coming out of the "closet" and sharing with her who I really am, I have decided to proceed with the "big clip" to finally rid myself of these two most unwanted body parts.

I called Dr. Kimmel's office this past Monday and spoke at length with the Doctor on Monday afternoon. We discussed many things including my HRT and he took his time to answer all my questions in a very kind and reassuring way. Called his office on Tuesday and scheduled my procedure for Friday, March 24th. I have also forwarded the required $750.00 down payment.

It's finally going to happen and I can't wait! Five weeks from today!

Wish me luck Girls. I'll keep you posted! :)

Just curious if you included scrotum removal in your plans?

For me, if I were to go for the removal of my remaining nut, I think I would want things "cleaner" or "smoother" there. I really don't know what the right word is, but maybe you can understand or guess what I am thinking about. My main concern in this regard is that I swim a lot (in Speedo type suits), and have wondered if others would notice something missing.

The really scary part of such action is the large number of postings here which indicate eunuchification resulted in really, really serious problems, more psychological than physiological. It sounds like you have dealt with that (otherwise you would not have made your telephone call). Perhaps you could think about posting more of your experiences post-surgery.

I do wish you all the best!!! Isn't living life fun, not always easy, but fun?

I am not going to have my scrotum removed at this time in order to keep my options open regarding possible SRS in the future. The spouse and I have discussed this possibility in our conversations on the castration surgery and she has not ruled it out for me. Maybe in the future!

I'm not too concerned with the psychological implications as I have been a chemical eunuch for a while now. I believe it is the FHRT that I'm on that has prevented much of the psychological impact from the loss of testosterone in my system.

So far as people noticing that you're a eunuch, I have read many posts in the community regarding this topic, some even regarding nudists colonies, and it would appear that many people just do not notice especially wearing a bathing suit, even one as small as a Speedo. Don't be concerned about that at all!

I'll keep you posted on my post surgery progress and will be happy to share my experiences if it helps anyone at all to make their decision regarding their own castration. For me, it just seems "right". ;)

Why do you care if they notice that something is missing? What is wrong with not having a big bulge down there or even having a smooth look?

I generally do not like to be the center of attention, either individually or in large groups. In decades past, I sought attention and enjoyed it, but no longer. That change came along with several others in my life, such as less interest in material things and more interest in relationships and challenging dialogue. It is just part of whom I am. I am not antisocial or recluse by any means, but just want to do my own thing without a lot of fanfare or attention.

Note that wearing speedos is already enough of an attention getter. However, that style is what I have always worn (except a long time ago when young school age boys swam naked, or while at the YMCA pool). I feel like I get a better workout with brief styles instead of "dorkies".

P.S., If I could figure out how to do it with this software, I would move this over to a new topic thread. This sub-topic seems to take away from the original posting. But alas, I couldn't figure out how to split it off. I guess another senior moment has struck.

Thanks Erica! Want to wish you the very best of luck and a speedy recovery! I would love to hear how you get on (maybe this thread would be a good one to use?)

I doubt it'd be possible to notice a eunuch by simply looking. Nobody has ever noticed that about me - despite having been in many situations. (I'm an avid swimmer, and over here communal changing rooms are common!)

But sometimes it's best this way. I wouldn't mind trying to explain, but would probably want to try and avoid any unnecessary questions!

Anyway - I'm starting to ramble - so I hope all goes well!!

Dear lindaleah,

In response to your question regarding my relationship with my wife, we've known each other for 34 years and have been married for the last 30 of those. We have gotten to know each other pretty well over those years and I feel that really helped her when I finally shared my life long "secret" with her. She has been very accepting and understanding as to who I real am.

She appreciates the lack of testosterone in me. She has described me as a much calmer, less aggressive and more loving person.

As far as sex, well we now have a very nice vibrator, which she has fallen in love with and why not, It's hung far better than I am! LOL! Our lives have never been better!
