Dodge Quality - Do Share This

For anyone contemplating a new vehicle, let me offer you some advice:
Do NOT buy anything from Daimler/Chrysler. This includes Dodge, Dodge trucks, Dakotas, Jeep, Eagle.
As some of you might know, in 2002 I bought a new Dodge truck. One would think that for in excess of $20k, you would at least make it off of the lot with the thing before something broke or went wrong.
No.
After a 2-year fight with a lawsuit, when the dealer and the upper managers refused to help with it, we finally settled for enough money to make the repairs that I said it needed, which they said it didnt and werent covered by the warranty anyway. Of course, had the drug-addict judge here not cancelled the court date which took almost all of the 2 years to get it might have gone better.
During the first 6 months of its life, the truck had warranty repairs 18 times for various items. Some of them repeats.
I dont know about other makes, but Dodge will certainly offer every excuse in the book to get out of servicing the junk they sell, unless you are PAYING for the repairs.
I dont have all of the paperwork handy, but in the past 2.5 years, the truck has had:
Wiring / electrical (3)
Brakes (4) the 5th was cracked rotors
Shocks (3)
(Ask Jesus, he rode in it for almost an hour!)
A/C (2) once for bacterial infection
Coolant leaks (2)
Loose trim (6)
Squeaks/rattles
Missing parts (in the brakes)
Rust (at one year)
Flooded floorboards (AC seals)
Loose doors
Loose seats
Loose foam/noise baffling/falls out regularly
Clutch disk
Clutch controller
Power steering whines
Ball joints
Rear end clinks
Shakes/vibrations
Glove box that opens by itself
1 of 3 dome lights inside falling out
Dome lights that work when they feel like it
Power window motors and one is struggling again!
(Well replace it when it fails, they say)
Mysterious small parts found under the seats and dash regularly
Instrument panel failure
Rough shifting
4th gear vibrations (thats normal )
Sticking clutch again
And the list goes on.
So, my advice anything but Daimler products.
And if its junk, taking a beating on it and trade it off. Lie. Dont try to be a nice person and keep it from falling into someone elses life.
And remember, used cars are used because of people like me who got sick of them and ditched them!
