A Thousand Posts

I haven't gotten even halfway to a thousand posts myself (and probably never will get there), but I noticed A-1 had over three thousand, and I then checked a couple of the forums and came up with the names of six members who have made over a thousand posts to the archive. These are: Riverwind, Krister, Andrew, Old Softee, Paolo, and A-1. If you figure that posts by these folks average fifty words or so, then their total postings each are about the same as the word count of an average published book, 50,000 words or more.

I don't know if there is any special distinction in making that many posts, but these six people have certainly provided a lot of interesting and, in some cases, humorous, reading for the rest of us. I may have missed somebody who has made a thousand or more posts. I actually thought a few people, like Jesus and Robby, would have gone over the thousand mark, but they are both somewhat short of it.

It should perhaps be pointed out, that everybody who has belonged to the archive for a while, actually has made more posts than the recorded number, because vbulletin went down some time ago, and erased all previous records.

In addition to that, the counter was not working for quite some time a while back.

However, don't count the posts. It takes all of the fun out of it. Just start posting and try to keep up. This message board is one of the best-kept intellectual secrets on the WEB.

Sooner or later, the word WILL get out and this place will take off like a rocket.

Just watch and see.
