Only Lower libido Med

I am interested in lower libido and I do not know where else to turn. I have researched Androcur, but this medication is far too expensive overseas and perhaps too strong. I would honestly be interested in something that havled, or perhaps even just took 1/3 of my libido away. I guess what I'm looking for is something that is:

-Cheap

-No side effects

-Few long term effects

-Does not have to be as effective as Androcur

Thanks you very much,

Clif

Try Saw Plametto is is an herb you can get try it in a higher dose though than recommended.

Others will give advice also.

I do not know of anything else that matches your request.

There is nothing out there that fits that description. They all have SOME side effect. Question is, how determined are you to lose your libido, and what side effects are acceptable to you??? They all have some...

Why not buy the generic version of Androcur at www.mastersmarketing.com under cyproterone acetate (last 2) and just take 1/4-1/8 of a pill (6.25 to 12.5mg) every day?

Cheap, very few side-effects, effective...and mild...everything ur looking for. There is also finasteride, Spiro and some anti-depressants.

Best of luck.

I like what Erika28 said. Taking a lower dose of Androcur could give you what you're looking for, and I would also recommend taking a look at Spironolactone.

Spiro is more common as a T blocker in the trans community, so that's why you may not have seen a whole lot on it here. But it is weaker than Androcur, and especially if taken in a lower dose, it should leave you with plenty of T. Moreover, it is believed to have no permanent effects such as gonadal and genital shrinkage and sterility. You can stop it after years and fully regain your former self.

So let's go over your list:

1. It is much cheaper than Androcur no matter who you buy it from. Obviously taking it under a doc's supervision is the best as you'll see in number 2, but for some this is not possible.

2. It has plenty of side effects, and the most dangerous of these are hypotension and hyperkalemia. Both conditions are dangerous and potentially fatal. If you have low blood pressure, you should not use it and it is CRITICAL you monitor your potassium intake. Too much can and will kill you, and it's happened many times before without warning. Obviously professional tests performed by a doc are the best, but again this is not always possible.

3. As mentioned earlier, Spiro is believed not to have long-term effects T wise. Your T levels should fully return to normal after discontinuation, and everything should be the way it was before.

4. Spiro is not effective as Androcur except perhaps in very large and dangerous doses. I'd recommend not going over 100 mg/day without a doc's supervision, although the typical dose for trannies is 200 per day.

Hope I was of help sweetie, and best wishes :)

Hi Alyssa,

2 things...

1) Spiro does decrease sperm motility and sperm count, both potentially leading up to sterility so I'm not sure that sterility is NOT compromised.

2) Spiro and Androcur are equally effective anti-androgens, just as potent, in EQUIVALENT dosages. So, 12.5mg Androcur might be just as effective as 75-100mg spiro in one person, for example. It's about equivalency.

You could try 150mgs. Depo-Provera once every 3 months. Your libido will drop initially & then slowly ramp back up. I can't think of anything that will lower it at a steady, fixed rate.

-Cheap $25 a shot.

-No side effects Nothing has no side effects.

-Few long term effects This is the dose that women take for contraception. Their fertility returns gradually after stopping.
