OK, question about muscle tone and chemical castration

To those who have undergone chemical castration, by any means, how does this effect your body's ability to build muscle. I ask because I like to stay in shape, and i don't want to lose the ability to hit the weights hard at the gym, and be jacked and all that. But I am thinking about chemical castration, and that's my main concern.

P.S. if someday I should ever change my mind, this procedure is reversible, correct?

You will lose muscle, but you can stay in shape.

If you do change you mind, depending on your bodies reaction to the chemical castration and the amout of time, It may not be reversible!! The reversiblaty veries from person to person. Reversiblaty stops somewhere between 6 months to 1 year or maybe a like longer.

I started on Androcur Jan 15, 2004. I went off three times for about a month each time since then. For a profession during this time, I worked on several farms handling lots of hay, I worked a logger in the woods and did tons of back breaking work. I have notice a slight loss of muscle over this time. But by no means am I weak. You can maintain most of your strength if you work at it.

Testosterone turns on a lot of 'switches' that involve muscles and strength, so you would probably not be as ripped, and possibly might have trouble being so hard and forceful. I'm of the opinion that strength comes with patience instead of impetus and aggression, but I have to admit most strong guys have better luck with the fast and furious. I also agree with OBB: being off testosterone doesn't necessarily make you weaker, it just needs a different approach toward staying healthy and strong.

I agree, it may not be reversible. Like any body chemical, if you start changing the levels artificially, there's no rule that says the body has to fix those levels once you stop. It's like a fire: if you cool it down too much, then it stops burning things, even if you stop cooling it.
