Hi

As my avatar suggests I'd really like to have my penis surgically converted into a vagina, proper sex change surgery, clitoris, labia, to be orgasmic and work just like any other vagina. But the rest of me want to remain a man.

I know this get discussed about the web and I know I'm not the only one that wants this. I was wondering if anyone out there know of anyone who has had this done and is still living as a man.

I don't know anyone who has had this done however the Sumai (spelling?) clinic in Thailand will do that operation. I know - I have asked them and it is not a problem to do. You'd be a woman from the waist down and a male upwards.

You'd have to go to Thailand... I don't know anywhere else where that would be allowed. The Harry Benjamin Standards of Care that almost all SRS surgeons follow insist you change everything to female...

You are not alone. There are men like us out there. I am a 60+ person who has lived as a gay male all my life, but now I realize that I need to perform sexually as a woman. Like you I wish to have fully working female genitalia and get rid of my "boy bits," which disgust me. One poster asked why not go all the way? My answer is -- I am very comfortable with my daily life as a man and, socially, gender re-identification would be counter-productive. All my life I have gotten the greatest sexual fulfillment and enjoyment from anal penetration, with my boy stuff irrelevant to my pleasure. Increasingly I feel the need to be penetrated vaginally. If you go back in the archives on this "Gay, Bisexual & TG Room," you will find my original post from 2004 with some interesting replies about Genital Reassignment.

One person recommends a clinic in Thailand...and Thailand is probably the leading center for GRS. Some clinics are outstanding but some are cut-rate butcher shops. AVOID THESE! But Thailand has very good medical facilities for all procedures and is attracting patients from around the world with lower costs and top quality.

i have heard of one man in New York who had the surgery done in the U.S. but only after length and extensive psychotherapy.

(i'm stretching it larger, just in case) The therapist I was used to go to (back when I had insurance) didn't see me having much of a problem with getting it (the cost of a plane ticket and the surgery in thailand are about 1/3 the cost of just the surgery here in the US). Hell, it'd probably already have been done if I hadn't had to quit my job.

Don't second guess proven surgical techniques.

A female from the waist down and a man otherwise is a bearded, flat-chested lady.

I have seen a few that are naturally that way so you may have company, so don't be suprised.

Proven medical techniques? Second guessing? Nah, I want something completely different from traditional vaginoplasty, in which they invert the penis, and attach the scrotum to the end (the part furthest in).

I want a pure scrotal inversion, bisecting the root of the penis to create the vagina. I want it centered more than I want an erectible cock, which I want to keep just like it is.

I have no desire to be a woman, even a bearded one. It would feel just as wrong as being male has been for me.
