Mayor Holden estimates that 240,000 extra people are in Baton Rouge. Traffic engineers measures an increase of 35 to 40% in volume. The mayor's estimate of people in town is somehow derived from the traffic figures.

Images from the Garden District reveal a lot of damage. The NYPD has sent us 500 officers. One is a 20 year veteran who originally came from New Iberia, Louisiana. We love you New York.
