September 2 SUCKS

Post by MacTheWolf (imported) »

I've been drivig my moms car lately since it's cheaoer to run hers and leave mine in the driveway considering the cost of gas $3.17 a gallon for regular. Today I was in hers and had a flat. Not finding a jack, I called AAA to change my tire for me. The AAA guy put on the lil Mickey Mouse tire. Fine. I drove home and my front tire went flat.

I figured gawd was trying to tell not to drive my mom's car. I called AAA again to charge my battery in my car. It started and I ran it for 30 minutes turned ot off and it wouldn't restsart. Just horribble clicking sounds. UGH

Since my car is dead, I walked five blocks to a tire store to price a 185/70 R14. New School Tire Store said $20 installed. I said WOO HOO. Now I'm waiting for AAA to come the third time to tow my car to the tire store to have the $20 one put on.

Saturday has to go better than today. Now I know how Tal and River felt trying to put the chatroom back together :)

If I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck.

Could be worse.

I just put $700 worth of new tires on the truck, after 2 flats in 2 days, only to find that at 50 mph, the truck shook so bad you couldn't control it. Took it back in, had all 4 rotated and rebalanced, now I can get up to 70 mph. Wooo hooo...looks like a trip to the speed shop in Indy for 140 MPH rebalancing again.

No, it won't do 140, but it will do 130...

Then today, I went to roll up my window, and the power motor decided that it was time to die so I was stuck with a lowered passenger side window. This makes the truck's 52nd trip to the shop in just over 3 years. And no, the Lemon Law didn't work for me. Not in Indiana. Dont' buy Chrysler products.

So, there's another $50 in warranty deductible, after another threatening phone call from the lawyer again to them to honor my warranty, this after $372 worth of non-warranty brakes last month after the pads fell off and a rotor burst. All this at 55k miles of highway driving, too!

Add to this the computer knows that it's time for the 60k maintenance check, and my gas mileage has gone from 24 highway to 15 in one week.

Oh well.

Now you know why the government doesn't want public transportation to be available.

I owned two Chrysler vans, and both of them were bad news. But I thought Chrysler was now owned by Mercedes Benz (I'm guessing Paolo's truck is less than five years old.) Maybe the guy was right who said you can't reform most institutions, you have to replace them with something else.
