Actually, growing up with an uncircumcised pecker, would have been tough in my day. Until I was grown, I only remember seeing one, and that was on a boy from Eastern Europe who had immigrated to the USA. I remember how shocked I was to see it (about 13 at the time).

Lately I have been reading much material showing circumcision makes it harder for guys to orgasm. I actually never knew that. It makes sense from my point of view though. This is no joke or fetish; I have not been able to achieve orgasm with my girlfriend in three and a half years. The more I hear from uncircumcised men, the more I realize the reason is the foreskin is suppose to be gliding over the penis head and brings desire. Without a foreskin, the sensation is much less and plus the nerves that are still intact are less sensitive due to the skin at the tip not being able to stay moist.

I wish I had never been circumcised either. Plus I have some female friends who told me they preferred uncircumcised men because they can feel it more.

Ironically, circumcision became widespread in the USA because of an apparent link between cervical cancer in women and having sex with uncircumcized men. Women should be thanking us circed guys for putting up with the disadvantages of having a cut dick. The glans does suffer noticeably from being exposed all the time. Well, for those who are unhappy being uncut, Robby is right, just call in at the urologist and he will oblige you. There are also do-it-yourself circumcision experiences in the files at BME/Extreme. Pics, too, of the results. For cut guys who wish they weren't, you can make a new hobby out of foreskin restoration. Various methods are employed, and there are fan clubs and foreskin rights groups, etc. to join. I am not sure, but BME may have experiences and pics for that, too.

The thing about circumcision, however, is that you'll find a whole army of doctors willing to do it in a heartbeat.

I've heard sex is more pleasurable with the foreskin. That being said, I'm glad I had it done. Mine was done, like many American men, when I was a baby.

Even though the operation probably was extremely painful, having it done at such an early age prevented it from being such a traumatic event since I have no memory of the surgery.

Some men are circumcised later in life because of a condition known as phimosis, in which the foreskin tightens over the head to the point that erections, sex, micturation (the correct term for pissing), and even simple hygiene become painful and difficult, if not impossible. At least us cut guys will never have that problem!! An uncut head is a treat for those who like to give head. Soft, smooth, slick even. Very special! Since there is more penis sheath to work with, stroking an uncut dick is also very hot, with the greater range of motion, and the impression of greater mass.

When I was in college there was a boy from Viet Nam who had himself circumcised. He walked funny -- bow legged -- for several days.

The whole subject has far too much prejudice and ill-informed opinion loose. The proponents of routine circumcision jump on every bit of 'research' that can be stretched to prove their point and the opponents do likewise.

Overall, there isn't a great deal either way from a purely medical point of view; the claimed advantages of circumcision of the newborn (mostly a reduction in the frequency of urinary tract infection) is pretty well balanced out by the inevitable complications of the procedure itself.
