Is there a difference between wanting to be castrated because one wishes to be rid of T, high libido, erections, and similar reasons and someone who wishes to be castrated because they identify as part of a third gender known as eunuch?
Or are they the same?

Apparently it helps if you have some obvious medical reason to be castrated. Most doctors (at lest in the USA) would not agree to castrate you in the absence of such a compelling medical justification. I think, too, that the notion of the "third gender" option is a new one. In terms of our appreciation of the many varieties of human sexuality, day has only begun to dawn.

I actually meant more in terms of individual motivation. Would eunuchs and T-haters be considered two different people? Or do those desires stem from the same root?
If they are different, how would they compare and/or contrast?

I guess I would fall in to a different group. I was born asexual. Being castrated sort of makes me fit that group better. Not having the male hormones running my life is much better. Guess I was in a way trying to look like I feel.
I now do hate T very much at least for me. Having no balls makes me feel more real to life.

I think that like the infinite shadings of color of the solar spectrum you will find an almost infinite number of reasons why men either get castrated or fantasize about it. The great thing about the EA is that it's home for all of us.
