My fasination with becoming a eunuch syarted in my early teens when I started puberty and did not like the changes in my body and finding out what was causing these changes. Like many others I had thoughts about not having testicles, and getting rid of them. The fanticies lessened in my 20's and reapeared in my mid 30's. My fanticies turned to genital torture in my early 40's A few years ago I finally got a computer an found there are others like me. Now in my late 40's I am to the point of making the fantasy reality and seriously looking into being castrated. I am here to talk with men who have been castrated to find out the good and the bad, to make a real life decision about being catrated. I know this is a life changing decision that cannot be reversed. I know that once they are gone there is no going back. So I am asking fore some real advice from real eunuchs.

Since you are moving from years of fantasy to a possible reality, you need to do some serious background research. I would suggest that you start by reading the “Frequently Asked Questions” that have been put together by some of the regulars here on the Eunuch Archive. They can be found at FAQ (http://www.eunuch.org/vbulletin/faq.php?), or from the link at the top of the opening page of the Message Boards.

Your second stop should probably be the long thread titled Consequences of Castration (http://www.eunuch.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=4616).

After you have gone through these, you will certainly have some specific questions to ask of the members here. Rather than an all-purpose “tell me everything I need to know”, you will be able to ask narrower questions that are much more likely to get detailed and serious responses.

Welcome to the Archive. Look around. We're generally friendly and we certainly try to be helpful.

I have been reading through many of the message board articles and I am concerned about the possibility of infection is this a ongoing problem or is this somthing that ends when the body has healed. What are the most comon sourses of infections in castrations. Is it possible to go through this without infetions. Well enough questions for now have many others in mind

SM57200,

The answer is simply Yes... castration procedures do not have to end with infection. Some people are unlucky, having infection set in, while others complete the task with no problems what so ever. There are too many reasons for infection, as there are for not getting infection to list here, but my experience with 2 castration procedures resulted with no infection in either case.

One can effectively be castrated without infection. Don't let the fear of infection stop you from completing the final cut. Be mindful of the possiblity of infection, take all necessary precautions and use competent medical personnel and procedures. You can come back and tell us your story once the task is complete.

Best of luck and write us soon,

Listen to Robby. I'd dare say that only a minority of castration procedures, certainly if carried out by qualified medical professionals and in a sterile fashion, result in infections. Each of my incisions healed without incident, and I experienced no pain after the first day. And having a pain-free crotch was definitely worth the price of the inconvenience of healing following the severing of the testicles. Some professionals recommend a course of anti-biotics as a precautionary measure. The risk of infection is nearly nil following healing from having the balls harvested.
