depo provera and cosmic orgasm???

Has anyone else ever expereinced this? And do you think this was a bad thing?

Something truly amazing happened after being on Depo Provera for about 2 months. It had been three days since I had climaxed and I was a tiny bit horny, which is unusual. Me and my other half made love. As per lately, I was the bottom and he climaxed inside of me. Afterwards I decided to masterbate and try the new lubricant we had picked up at Dillions, Durex tingling. I could instantly tell that it felt different. It was not a tingling sensation; it was more stimulating though. As things progressed it really started to burn and then sting like crazy. I did not let my other half know what was going on or else he would have immediately stopped. As I climaxed, I went into outer-space. I swear to god I went into shock and my body convulsed hard like I was having a seizure. The world kinda went away for a moment as it felt like every neuron in my brain was firing. It was absolutely the strongest climax I have ever had and it was truly amazing. My other half was scared for a few seconds as I did not respond to him. The look on his face was priceless and he was not amused when I said we should do that again. I usually feel amazingly good after a climax like that, but I actually felt down after 30 minutes. After that experience, I must have blew through a weeks worth of some neruo-chemical.

After a few days and some thought, I can better verbalize what it was that I felt. It was the most pleasurable thing I have ever experienced by an order of magnitude. My brain felt like it was on fire. I became unresponsive to my partner and I was violently jerking for 10 to 15 seconds. It felt like the world around me was being drowned out by massive amounts of internal stimulation and chaos. I doubt a single coherent thought passed my mind during those seconds. And I did not have that euphoric afterglow that I normally feel after an intense orgasm. I did not feel sick, but I felt down afterwards. I have not had any lasting effects from this episode, but I have wondered how to repeat the experience. You don't forget an experience like that.

I'm pretty sure that the Depo Provera is responsible for this cool incident. A strong orgasm happened a few weeks ago too after I had gone quite a while with half worthwhile climaxes. But it was not outside the range of normal such as when I have been excessively horny and driven. It is also interesting to note that I have stronger orgasms than most guys when I'm not on Depo Provera.

After doing a bit of research on my cosmic orgasm, I have a hypothesis on what may have happened. The depo provera has significantly decreased the intensity of my orgasms. When people climax or are exposed to pain and stress, dopamine is released. I wonder if a decrease in climax intensity allowed a rise in dopamine potential. Maybe during the orgasm an unusually large amount of dopamine was released and triggered not only an intense euphoric feeling, but brought on a seizure like response. Prolactin acts to shutdown your orgasm and sex drive. There may have been some unusual delay which allowed dopamine to excessively spread through the brain.

My second question is whether anyone has noticed increased and spontaneous moodiness as the Depo Provera has worn off? I started to get moody after about a month.

Interesting post. I had a friend once who was anti-depressants (Effexor, i believe). He couldn't cum at all, for several weeks, from the Effexor. I was masturbating him, and absolutely determined to get him off. I worked on his cock for close to an hour, i wasn't going to give up for anything.

All the sudden he starts to cum -- and his whole body is having convulsions and he is staring up at the ceiling and in a trance-like state for probably 30 seconds. He could not speak or respond to me.

I was not alarmed, as I figured he was just having a mind blowing orgasm. After about 5 minutes, he is breathing very shallow and all he could say is "oh my God, oh my God" and he would collapse back into the bed.

I left him alone for about half an hour, and he just lay in bed, staring at the ceiling and slowly breathing. Eventually he was able to talk, and he told me he had just experienced God and that now he knew what it must feel like to do heroine.

I'm sure what you experienced was almost identical. My theory is your "orgasm circuits" in your brain have been under-utilized due to Depo supressing them ... so when you've been cummming, it has been with "less than ordinary" intensity. These circuits have been sitting idle, just starved for input ... and then something shifted, either your testosterone levels are normalizing or the Depo is leaving your brain, and when you did cum, from the intensity of the stimulation and the stinging lube ... all those circuits lit up at once, and flooded your brain with sensory overload.

This does sound very similar to a seisure, perhaps to the brain it is identical ... I do know seisure's can have some adverse consequences for the brain, though it sounds like you'd be willing to take a chance to experience the "Cosmic Orgasm" again.

Well consider yourself lucky -- you've caught a falling star, and gone into the realm of experience and pleasure very few humans will ever have access to.

Thanks Bruce for responding. I'm glad to know that I'm not alone in having such a cool experience. What I experienced was probably an orgasm of a lifetime. I doubt that I could arbitrary recreate such an experience, but it would be cool if it happened again. :)

Sounds similar to the 2nd or 3rd fuck of an evening or night in a 4 - 6 hour period.

Usually this happens only to folks who are normally hormoned, but incredibly horney. Usually, it happens with Gays more often than Heteros but only because of availability. In these days of HIV and other horrible STD's, Gays do not get as much sex as they used to, but most probably they still have more frequent contact than your typical str8 people, unless they are pimps, prostitutes who enjoy their work or people who have harems or something.

This is how it works.

The first orgasm occurs after less than 10 minutes of sexual contact, according to the type and amount of stimulation preceeding the contact. Read, the 'mood'.

The second orgasm takes longer, usually over 40 minutes to achieve.

The third orgasm takes at least an hour and 15 minutes to achieve, if you can manage to get stimulated enough, but it like to takes the top of your head off when and if it finally happens.

The physiological implications have to do with heart, blood pressure head rush and neuro-receptor deifcits. The neuroreceptors, having been over-taxed, do not have an opportunity to adequately replenish. Hence, the process of orgasm gets more drawn-out, time wise, and you get sort of an orgasmic vapour-lock.

The general reason why not many experience this naturally is because it is extremely hard physically for the receptive sexual partner, provided that there is only one of them. Translation: ... They get sore as hell from being fucked for over two hours. Females can get the same effect from masturbation, provided that it is gentle, well lubricated and not too irritating and they are horney enough to want it.

The reason why you got it under the circumstances that you describe is because your physiologic sexual mechanism is almost shut down to begin with.

It is another reason why people in nursing homes are still interested in sex.

However, usually, the typical load of guilt about sex commonly prevents the second and third sexual encounter in a short time frame in average people. This is another reason why it does not happen too often.

So, yes, it is because of the sexual mechanism being depleted, but not particularlly because of the depo-provera. O.K.?

A-1, I know what you're talking about, a "kick ass orgasm" that is extremely intense.

But having witnessed what my friend went thru, and the description above, what is being described here is VERY out of the ordinary -- it's an event so intense one basically almost loses consciousness. Watching my friend go thru this, and from his description, it was really not even an orgasm -- it was an intensely pleasurable seizure, a melting of consciousness into a vast sea of indescribably pleasurable bliss, an ascent to the God-like summit of pure being and experience. If it were possible to achieve this by having sex a couple times a night -- believe me, most of my friends would be experiencing it and telling me about it. In my entire life, I've only heard this event talked about twice, once by my friend and the other in this thread.

I do think these episodes are revealing in that they show just how thoroughly wired we are to enjoy the feeling of sex -- it's similar to a drug addiction. And it's no wonder so many men want to get off this rollercoaster, which is fun for the first couple hundred spins, but loses it's novelty once it starts to take over your life.

Hey A-1,

I have to agree with bruce2. What I experienced was not similar to what you describe. There have been a few times where I have climaxed as many as 5 or 6 times in a day. The first time orgasm is always the most power and enjoyable. As each orgasm progresses it gets less and less worthwhile. It generally takes even more stimulation to get to the same point as the previous one. As they progress I have never experienced any drawn out orgasm. It just takes more time and effort to reach climax. Even if one did get drawn out, that would still be no comparison to what I experienced. It was at least an order of magnitude more power than anything I have ever felt. If people could intentionally create that kind of orgasm there would be some serious addiction going on.

Hi Bruce and Guy...

That is the point.

Some people are addicted to sex. It has to do with their neurological wiring. The depo-provera is probably bringing it on. Believe me, some are wired so that what you describe is standard fare, but only after the conditions that I described.

Your depo-provera description is the same thing that they describe after multiple sexual encounters. But when depo-provera is given to them, it shuts them down immediately. So you are describing how a 'normal' system behaves, as I believe that you are both are describing the 'normally wired' subject.

There are some who pass out naturally upon reaching orgasm almost every time, with each encounter more intense than the last. For them, the most intense never occurs first. The intensity seems to leave them spent and weak during the resolution phase. The ones that I describe on occasion never leave the Plateau phase. Therefore, their peaks during orgasm are extremely intense.

It is hard to prove intensity of feeling or to gauge levels of intensity from a sexual experience without electonic monitoring. Even then, the wiring affects the level of intensity. In rare individuals, it actually enhances excitement. Especially in exhibitionist females.

In some folks the release of endorphins enhances sexual feeling. That is the mechanism at work in BSDM. However, it does not work for every individual. Likewise, what you describe will not work for every individual.

SO, let me say that I am happy that you have seemed to discovered a state of Nirvana. I hope that these levels of stimulation can be maintained, and that it is just not a passing phenomenon.

Let me know when you reach the level of multiple orgasm. I have some half-baked theories about that, too.

If certain people can reach that kind of orgasm after multiple sexual encounters, I can see why they would be addicted to sex. I'm sure it would be disruptive to their lives. I'll have to take your word on it as I have never seen that kind of response in other people.

I've tried to recreate my own experience, but I have not had any luck. I'm pretty sure that it was just a one time thing. And as far as BSDM and endorphins enhancing an orgasm, I know all about that. Unfortunately I have taken that a little too far in the past.

May the force be with those and their strong orgasms! :)
