Depo Regimen failing!!!

Hello everyone-

I restarted a depo-provera regimen again about two months ago. I started taking half a shot (75mg) every two weeks, then increased to a whole shot (150mg) after about 6 weeks.

So now, I've probably taken about 6 shots, and I'm getting frustrated.

While my libido has substantially decreased, the true feelings of being on depo have been few and far between. Also, testosterone had formed a wedge between me and my lover as I was too sexual and cared about us much less. Some of that caring has returned, but nowhere to the extent of my original experience with depo.

I'm not sure if maybe I should increase dosage until I receive the desired effects, and then decrease.

Also, the side effects have been rough.

I've been having really bad cold and hot sweats at night, and substantial hot flahses. Maybe another anti-androgen is a better option....

Any ideas?

I am not sure this will have any effect on you but with me i am also on Premarin 1.25 and this has lowered things for me and keeps me stable as i feel we all need some hormones weather testosterone or estergen.Its somthing to concider after my surgery i stoped the Premarin and about three monthes later i went back on it and with an hour my wife could tell the diffrence in me .But i know everyone is diffrent also take care now and feel free to ask anything you want.

As for the night sweats, do not immediately blame them on hormones. With hormonal imbalances you should be having hot flashes, but not chills.

Your symptoms could be the harbinger of something far more serious. Get thine ass to a good physician, pronto. After the serious things are ruled out, then you can fuck with the hormones.
