Side cuts or center?
Most of the ssurgery that I have seen photos of have the testicles removed from slits in the side of the sac. Is there an advantage to doing it this way. The guy who will castrate me wants to make a single incision down the center and remove them both like that....Does anyone have any experience either way or comments?

Re: Side cuts or center?
I had my procedure done by Dr. Kimmel. He made a single midline cut in the scrotum near the base of the penis. My biggest concern was for future surgey, so possibly this method would leave less scar tissue. The incision was less than an inch.
There may be several considerations for each method. Making two incisions might provide for easier access to each testicle, but would also create two scars. One incision may require more skill and/or longer time to perform the surgery. Having one scar in the center is less noticable because of the ridge in the skin. The two incision method would leave scars where they would be more noticable and more scar tissue.

Mne were removed thru 2 side cuts. The scars are hardly noticable and will be gone when my sac is removed.

Mine were removed through 2 incisions in the sides of ~3/4" each. The sac is now a remnant of what it was when the testicles were removed 5 years ago. Those incisions are now practically invisible. Some guys have looked for upwards to 1/2 hour to determine their location. Most of the centre cuts I've seen have been longer than 1" - more like 2" - and are noticeable even several years later.
If one's having the sac removed later, the scar issue may not matter at all, although trauma at the time of surgery may be the major concern. I think the 2 small incisions were less traumatic and resulted in less total healing time. Just my opinion.

As I am a Klinerfelter male and had very tiny balls, my urologist doc did two small scars on each sida of penis rot. the right one are 1,25 inch long the left one only 1 inch. To day it is 525 days ago it was done. hardly showing where it was done. I still have my sac, but is going to shrivel up.

Re: Side cuts or center?
I have seen in some of those BME castration pictures some nice and neat castrations performed along the midline of the ball sack, and I have seen other pics of very bloody scene where two cuts are made on the front of the sack, instead of the side of the sack. There are a lot of blood vessels on the front of the sack, it's much easier to make a midline cut or two cuts on the side of the sack instead of two cuts on top of the sack. When I had a vasectomy it was a tiny poke to reach the vass to be cut and I walked away with a band aide on my sack. For castration I would expect a midline low cut.
Not sure why some of the amature cutters posts those horrid pics of castrations on BME that are so bloody and all I can think of the guy getting cut is, I hope he is not in a lot of pain. From what I can tell the amature cutters where the bloody the most, were not cutting all the cord, and inner sack out, and flushing the sack out with steril saline soultion before sewing closed.

I recieved side cuts and it was explained that it resulted in a cleaner removal. If it were for non medical reasons I think a small slit in the sack would be better.

Re: Side cuts or center?
I had both options due to going to a cutter then a real Doctor to be honest I think the side cut healed faster but the center cut I recieved was to remove the scrotum too so that is not a good example. My guess is it depends on the individual persons rate of healing and how the skin in that area heals.

Re: Side cuts or center?
Here is a very nice center cut. The wound has healed well and there is very little brusing left. The young transexual is showing no ill effects from her receint castration. As a matter of fact she loooks to be quite pleased with the result. Her very stiff errection is proof of that. I wish I could still lift it like that and so does my wife.

Re: Side cuts or center?
I had side cuts, mainly because I did not want the swelling to rip out the stitches since I was getting very large replacements put back.
see my web site www.bobweekened.com/neuter_web/index.htm will be updating it this weekend with some healing pics and more pics of the left overs.
