Genital Mods by Miami area urologist
Purpose: Inform community of a surgeon doing genital mods in Miami FL area and the process to follow to have surgery done.
Audience: Mentally competent males with a sincere desire to have genital mods done by a urological surgeon. Patients must have adequate funds to cover fees associated with the medical process and surgery. Patients will have to make an appointment with the urologist for a surgical evaluation in order to schedule surgery. This involves two trips, one for the initial surgical evaluation and examination and the second for the actual surgery.
Process: The initial process involves gathering of information from prospective patients and sending those information on how to obtain psychiatric evaluation and how to contact the surgeon.
Send email to [email protected] or to [email protected] Subject: Surgery, with your contact information and vital statistics including age, location, height, weight and general statement of health. Privacy Policy: The information you provide need not include your real name but you may choose a nickname. You may use just city for location. The information you provide will be used for an initial interview by email and will be shared only with the surgeon and destroyed after you have contacted the surgeon to make an appointment or on your request.
Contact a psychiatrist to obtain an evaluation for the psychiatrist to FAX to the surgeon that states basically that you are mentally competent to make decisions about your health and that you have a sincere desire to have surgical mods done for your personal reasons.
Contact the surgeon for a surgical evaluation appointment at his medical offices.
Have your primary care physician provide a clearance for surgery and some lab tests including an EKG and some blood work within two weeks of the appointment for surgery.
The surgeon is developing a schedule of fees. He performs surgery once a month in North Miami Beach and has medical offices in Hialeah and Coral Gables. Procedures available include orchiectomy, reduction of scrotum, cutting the suspensory ligaments of the penis, reduction of the penis and removal of the penis.
The surgical facility has determined the fees for a bilateral orchiectomy as a total of $1,615 for the facility and includes anesthesia. The urologist surgeon has not set a flat fee, as that depends on the particular patient, but it is around $1,500 for low risk cases.
There are some other surgeons in other geographic locations.
Surgeons have requested their privacy be protected by not posting themselves or having their contact information posted on public sites. Contact information is provided to legitimate patients who have signed a non-disclosure privacy agreement and who have provided an evaluation from a psychologist or psychiatrist.
Candidates for genital mods should realize that their own physical health has much to do with the risks of surgery. A male who is overweight presents surgeons with surgical problems. Males with other risks such as diabetes may present an unacceptably high risk for elective surgery. Both facility and surgeon may require additional resources to handle patients who may represent complicated cases.

Gelding,
Thank you for providing answers to these questions. Your intentions are honorable and I look forward to E.A. members coming back with success stories from surgery in Florida.
That is quite an interesting advertisement you post... Here are some questions most readers would like answered:
Why must folks interested in Orchiectomy send you an E-mail with their personal information?
Why can't these folks send the information to the surgeon?
Where is your privacy statement/policy on use of their personal information?
We have a burning desire to read your reply...

Warning! Warning! Warning!
Personal advertisements such as that posted by Gelding are not endorsed by anyone other than Gelding himself.
Personal Commentary
For as long as I have been coming to the E.A. for advise, friendship, reality reading, fantasy, fiction and knowledge gathering, information of doctors and/or specialist's names, addresses, and phone numbers, licensed or not, are generally posted in messages or any number of FAQ type posts found here in the Archives.
When doctors are seeking new customers, they make their services known to the general public. These doctors do not seek out the services of middle men such as Gelding.
Be aware of the risk you take by sending your personal information to people you do not know, have not met, or advertise the services of doctors and play gate keeper to legitimate medical practitioners.

Re: Genital Mods by Miami area urologist
Robby-- Generally I agree with you, but Gelding is a well known member of the eunuch community. I know several people that have met with him personally and can verify he 1. exists, 2. is a eunuch, and 3. if he is trustworthy.
The reviews I've gotten have been generally favorable. So long as the information being asked for is not an identity theft threat, I see no problem sending it on. If he was asking for full name, mothers maiden name, date of birth, and social security number (US ID theft necessities) I'd say exercise EXTREME caution.
My worry is that by having your posts be the first two directly after his, it might make him think, "Why bother?" I think at the least the offer needs to be checked out further. It's the first time I've seen something from an actual surgeon (assuming it all checks out) other than Kimmel and the folks in Thailand.
Isn't that what the archive advocates? If you're going to get castrated, only do it with a reputable surgeon? This is the first time I've seen anything close to it offered. Yes, be cautious, but let's not throw away the only potential, legitimate help I've seen here in years!

I know Gelding, talked with Gelding several times, written to and from Gelding, and been aware of his Eunuch status for 7 or more years.
My comments are from previous experience, not from a mere reading of his post. Any comments made immediately after Geldings advertisement are worthy of reading and taking to heart.
Re-read post #3 of this tread and think long and hard about giving the requested information to the requestor. Reputable doctors do not use third party agents who post on message boards for additional sales. If Gelding has an association with this doctor then he should post the doctor's contact information here on the Archive. Why hide if you are providing reputable service?
Gelding will not think I am attempting to discourage use of services he provides. He will think I am bringing to light important information we should all take to heart when it comes to our safety and health.

Re: Genital Mods by Miami area urologist
Reputable doctors do use intermediaries when they do not want to become notorious. That said, I work with several surgeons and have helped more than a few men achieve their goals over the last several years.
I won't say how many as no one here needs to know that.
None of the surgeons want names mentioned on the Eunuch Archive to avoid becoming notorious like Dr Spector. All are board certified physicians with surgical privileges in major hospitals and all require a formal psychiatric evaluation of competency and informed consent. A very few are members of this site under pseudonyms and disposable email addresses as I advised them.
I have met with several surgeons in person and with several psychiatrists.
None of the members here need to know who the physicians are unless they are serious enough to follow the protocol stated and then they will be bound by written agreement to keep that information secret to themselves. None of the successful patients have mentioned their experiences here with real names of physicians due to their having made agreements not to.
It was what was agreed to in undertaking to work with qualified surgeons to provide a much needed medical service to those who are seriously in need of that service. I'm sure that this community recognizes the need for such medical services. I would like the support of this community.
Those who are indeed serious and who follow the minimal steps required can get the information needed to make an appointment with a surgeon for a surgical evaluation and then set a date for surgery. Readers and contributors to this site understand that the medical community in general does not condone voluntary castration for reasons other than transgender.
Surgeons using accredited hospitals and who belong to major HMOs and other medical health plans must submit their procedures to formal peer review by the governing boards of their hospitals and plans. Those hospitals are likewise chary of threats real or perceived to their medical reputation and would not approve of voluntary orchiectomy or penectomy without strict scrutiny of the processes that must include a formal psychiatric evaluation.
I welcome constructive criticism by private email, especially ways in which patients can overcome an understandable reluctance to talk about their needs for genital modifications with perfect strangers.
warm regards to all,
gelding

1. To protect the identity of the surgeons against sensational publicity.
2. They will after a couple of steps in the protocol, after which the intermediary is out of the picture entirely.
3. All information provided is shared only with a surgeon and is destroyed as soon as the surgeon accepts the patient for surgery. It is stored encrypted in my email system using PGP. No printouts of any messages are created.
The information collected consists of identification and communication information (name or nickname, email address, and a few other health data such as height and weight).

Re: Genital Mods by Miami area urologist
Just remember, folks, all personal feelings aside:
Trust is a 2-way street.
We live in the age of the lawsuit, as well as the age of sensationalism.
It's no surprise, is it really, that there are so few real doctors out there willing to even venture into this field?
Think about it.
How much of a bru-ha-ha was there the last few times a 'cutter' botched a job and it ended up in the news? And if you're a successful doctor with a career and/or family, do you want to gamble that on the media-obsessed Society we live in?
So if Gelding has to play the role of "secret agent man", and it keeps just one Reader here from ending up dead, then there's no problem.
And I'd think that if Gelding were murdering respondents and doing whatever with the bodies, well, someone would have noticed it by now.
In case no one has noticed this either, we're all of the same interest here...personal feelings towards one another and past mistakes aside.
So stop f*cking emailing, PM'ing, and whining at me about it. This thread is on topic and useful, and it stays.

I thought a bit before getting involved in this thread. Gelding was there when I was seeking to be castrated 6 years ago. He was helpful. While we do have to think about trust, Gelding's services to the eunuch community are real, not only for those seeking the services of a surgeon, but for living as a eunuch afterwards. And as Paolo says, trust between docs willing to remove all or part of a guy's genitals for non-transsexual reasons and their patients is tricky. Gelding and any docs with whom he has contact are only interested in removing the stigma from voluntary procedures and helping subjects find them from qualified practicioners. There are also counsellors involved in confirming that a subject is able to make a considered decision best for his long-term physical and psychological well-being.
I can atest that it was indeed empowering to talk to a physician at the time about, not only my desire to lose my balls, but also just about genital modification procedures, including voluntary penectomies as well. I now have an acquaintance that had a voluntary total penectomy from a qualified practicioner a little over a year ago.
The availability of physicians to provide these services should be seen as a positive development. The clinics providing these services in Thailand can operate because their services, albeit only to be taken up by a minority, are accepted as legitimate by the Thai people and government. The US and Canada are not nearly so open, and the services are not viewed as legitimate.
