I took a single 150mg shot of Depo Provera in the upper outer quadrant of the maximum gluteus two weeks ago. From the posts I have read, guys began to notice effects within two to three weeks of the initial injection. Has anyone noticed changes in sexual drive any SOONER than this? I began to notice changes within half a week. I have gotten off 4 times since the injection, but I have only had an orgasm twice. I have never experienced an ejaculation without an orgasm before! It happened for the first time 3 days after the initial injection. I have also noticed a reduction in nocturnal and spontaneous erections. Do you think the provera has already reached its peak effect? Or will it reduce my drive more in the next couple weeks?

It sounds like these effects are working well for you. Although I do not have experience with Depo Provera, I have experienced similar effects with injectable estrogen. Think of your injection as a roller coaster ride, where it will ramp up rather quickly and then taper off to the bottom. A very similar thing occurs with injectables. After a few days you will peak the amount of drug in your system, then it will slowly go down until it's time for the next injection. The drug effects will become more apparent with the routine injections. Keep in mind also if this is your first dose, that your body has much of the testosterone it must flush out. The purpose of the Depo Provera is to stop the production of testosterone. In time the effects of chemical castration should become constant.

Most guys take 2 shots initially but you may have a low amount of serum testosterone. Keep taking one every 4 weeks & you will experience even more libido reduction.

In Brazil depo provera to have in tablets, I am making use of a tablet of 10mg per day, during first the 15 days I do not have more espontaneas erections. sorry my english is bad.

Yes, you can get the mini pill which only contains progesterone and no estrogen. A few people have reported that the pills are not very effective and they are harder on your liver than the injectable form.

A shot hurts a lot less than a liver transplant. And it's cheaper, too. Yes, DP is very effective. You can still hve an orgasm by vigorously masturbating if you really want to. DP allows you to control your libido instead of it controling you.
