Happy Easter to everyone!

Post by talula »

I would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter!

If you do not celebrate Easter then I would like to wish a Happy Sunday that others call Easter.

Reflecting on Easter we often times wonder why the holiday is best identified with eggs and rabbits. To my recollection no one has ever explained the rabbit part but I understand the egg and how it represents new life.

Gentle reader, do not think I have flipped my wig, rather I would like to offer something for your review.

Riverwind and I recently went out for breakfast and picked up a copy of The Onion. Inside of that wonderful publication was this photograph which I scanned and have placed here. (http://www.eunuch.org/easter.jpg)

The photograph is an advertisement for Axe and so perhaps if you need to, go out and get some. For myself, I am going to laugh.

Happy Easter

:) :) :D O Boy! Resurrection Day, such a beautiful finish of the first part of Gods work. 2000 years of prophecy's coming to pass. I pray every-body here at EA understands what this means. Hugs, Leona 👥 👯

Talula, my friend; Rabbits are a Teutonic fertility symbol that became gradualy established in the U.S. after the Civil War. --FLO--

I've always had this creeping suspicion that Uncle Flo is really a Hooka in disguise....how that explains chicken eggs is anyone's guess :)

Eggs are easier to catch than rabbits. --FLO--
