A policeman shot off his partner's penis in a bizarre accident in Peru. Siloe Espinoza and Baiver Ruelas were changing into their uniforms at Lima police station. Espinoza pulled his revolver out of its holster to check if it was loaded and accidentally shot Ruelas. The bullet hit Ruelas in the genitals and fellow officers found Espinoza giving him first aid. Doctors said Ruelas lost a lot of blood but his condition was stable. They are considering carrying out reconstructive surgery in an attempt to repair the damage. Police authorities are carrying out a full investigation into the locker room incident. Espinoza's gun will also be checked for defects by a ballistics team. He is being held in custody while the investigation is complete. "He is absolutely distraught," a colleague told newspaper Ajá. "It was a million-to-one accident that ended up with a man losing his penis."
