The Burdizzo

I just wanted to thank those many readers who commented to me privately on my recent story, "The Burdizzo." I took your inputs, and rewrote the tale, fixing the errors but more important perhaps, making it a little "hotter" as per the reequests. Anyway, every author enjoys feedback from time to time, and when I get comments negative, or positive, I read them and they in turn influence the writings that follow. The original story has been replaced with the newer, and improved version, and you guys that wrote are the ones that made it happen. Thanks!

I appreciate the readers, and I mean it.

Hi Nathan,

I guess it's all that important but the title of your excellent story - "The Burdizzo" is the same as a 3-part story of mine that appeared in Eunuch Archive a couple of years ago. To avoid confusion it's probably a good idea to check the story title index before uploading a story.

There are thousands of stories on the Archive. You can't expect an author to check the entire list of all stories on the Archive before posting one. Many stories will probably have castration devices listed somewhere in the title. I think you're making an unreasonable request. I just posted a story with a fairly generic title. I have no doubt that there are many similarly titled stories. That doesn't mean that I'm attempting to rip off someone else, which is what you seem to imply that Nathan is doing.

The stories are listed in alphabetic order. It only takes a few seconds to see if there is already a story with the same title as the one you are uploading.

Unfortunately I accidentally left out a word in my post. I meant to say "I guess it's NOT all that important...."

I'm trying to figure out how to quote from a post but can't find anything that tells me how to do it.

And, you're right. I went back and looked after posting and discovered it would be relatively easy to research whether or not a title had been used. Still, I don't see any need for such research. It matters little if a story posted some time ago and one posted today have the same name. Looiking back at the story list it is easy to distinguish Nathan's story from yours. No one is going to confuse the two.

Click the quote button at the bottom of the post you wish to quote. If you wish to use only part of the quote, delete what you want, add your response and post it. Just be sure whatever you quote is enclosed by the html quotes - you'll see them if you click the quote button

You can also insert your own quotes, say quoting an article from another WebSite by beginning the quoted material with [*quote=] and ending it with [*/quote] (without the *. I inserted it to keep it from being read as html).

For instance, here I'm putting something that I'm writing at this time in quotes by inserting the html.

Another example of the advantage of inserting the html yourself is if you wish to quote two different posts at the same time. Here I'll quote your first post by using copy and paste then surrounding the quote with html:

Thanks. I must be going blind. I don't know how I missed seeing the quote button 🙏

I just noticed all the comments, alas, I have to admit I never checked the story titles at all. I just "picked one" that came to mind, and apparently, some minds think alike! LOL. Oh well...my apologies there, and in the future I'll take the look-see before I post the tale. I actually prefer to be original in both story and title, and I actually had trouble with what to call this story at any rate.

I read the comments too on the poor results of this method; and in my research before writing it I wasn't positive how effective a method it would actaully be. I did find one medical report where a medical doctor discussed the effective use of a Burdizzo on a transgendered male. Still, I wasnt sure how legit his comments were. Anyway, in my story I avoided the entire topic by having the medical doctors involved at the end and in the tale they they actually castrate the guy after the clamp had done its job. Soooo, I sorta avoided the problem of dealing with how "well" it would work after the clamping was over.

I enjoyed reading the discusstion about the title---but, did anybody READ THE STORY though? LOL. As some of you may have noticed, the initially posted story was revised and I think, improved. By the way, like I'm sure every author on the archive, I certainly enjoy your comments, and I do apprecaite everyone of them. Now, I don't necessarily write for the comments I get, but they do and have often stimulated me enough to write more.
