Hi All,
Well I was considering a visit to Dr Kimmel but after reading everyone's reviews and problems I am a bit scared. Has anyone had any experience with Dr's in Ohio that perform this surgery?.

If I had to do it over I would still use Kimmel. He is a wonderful man, cares for his patients, enough so to call you morning and evening to make sure your ok.

Exactly ... good surgeons don't need to call to make sure you're okay.
I'm being flippant (I don't have any experience with Kimmel). But in general, infections, haemotomas, and such are NOT normal for good surgeons. Just wish the good ones supported voluntary castration!

with any out-paitent surgery the doctor will do follow-up calls it is SOP I have had severall out-paitent surgeries and every one had atleast two follow-up calls
this is normal for any out-paitent surgery

hate to disagree philip however I have had sinus surgery/knee surgery/ear surgery/and my last surgery to fix kimmels fuckup, and none of the doctors called at all. They didn't have to knowing the surgery was done right the first time. People can wave the kimmel flag all they want but opinions are like assholes: spector was the hot ticket also until he almost killed krister.
And last but not least, what happened to me was not my fault at all,it was kimmels period.I had to endur a second real surgery because of him![twin]

I guess the post-op call or no post-op call depends on the individual doctor's attitude toward their paitents I have had out paitent sew ups with out call-backs I have also had a Doctor call three times when I had a Kidney infection. I know you will never think Dr. Kimmel is any good and I personally owe my life to him two times over. So we will never see eye to eye but we both agree that castration was the best thing for both of us and that is what really matters. I hope you a speedy recovery and the best that i can hope for you.

I recently had minor out patient surgery. I received a follow-up call from my doctor's office -- not from the doctor -- but from one of his assistants. I would assume that this would be normal procedure.
