I'm just over 2 years post-op ( my name was Susan on old board - somehow I changed it by accident when re-registering) and totally happy with that - however, i still have a great interest in what would usually be described as 'male' pursuits -especially football (soccer) and drinking with a few guys after work.
I know that 'gender' is a wide, all-encompassing spectrum but sometimes I feel I am the only femised male who feels this way - anyone who is ts or has had nullification etc have similar interests???
Thanks
Susan

Re: Feminisation & Me
Dear Sue,
I can´t really recognise any problem with that. I am interested in guns, cars, motorbikes and am looking for a shooting club in the Rotterdam area.
Going to a football match and having a drink with the lads afterwards is totally normal and not neccesary a pure male thing to do. I know a few ladetts that enjoy such leisure.
I would just hate the thought of drinking coffee and baking cakes the whole day whilst taking about babys and celebraty scandals.
I know many MtF TS folk and am totally astonished and shocked about how soft they go in the head. I can´t stop telling myself that most are just living the same lie they were before transitioning.
Ok, being a female may open new possabilaties in expressing yourself but if you were interested in football and a drink after work with the lads or any other mainly male persepted interests why deiny them after transition.
kisses antonia
p.s.: What could be more erotic than watching 22 well trained hard masculin bums. I recently saw a TV show were the football team was to be seen under the shower for PR to get sponsers.
Another female volleyball team was selling a nude calendar, yummie, I must get that calendar for our Senior Lesbian Resident Kelly

Re: Feminisation & Me
Greetings, girls.
You bring up a good point, and I started to think of all of the M2F folks that i know so that I could make some kind of a general comment on this. However, we are just way too diverse.
The way that I see it, weenie inversion does not change us much--we are still the same person as before, with the same interests.
I was always kind of soft in the head. But, I liked, and still do, loud music, drinking, adventure, fixing things, etc.
And my sexual preference did not change
Actually, it seems that a lot of us are kind of rough 'n tumble.
Love,
Kelly
P.S. It's good to see that Susan and Antonia are back. I was wondering about you

Male pursuits? Well, I am 17 years sober, and one of my meetings is titled "PUTTIN' SOBER" and consists of a lot of bikers, some of whom are female AND own and ride their own bikes. And by "bikes" I mean full size motorcycles. Think Harley-Davidsons. No gender gap there.

Hi Sue
Although i am not a ts i do have a friend who is 5 years post op and she has told me that she is into more masculine pursuits since she had her op than she was before, she plays and runs a local ladies soccer team and they do very well she also loves drinking afterwork with the guys so you are definately not alone on this
Well i just thought i should reply

Re: Feminisation & Me
Come to think of it, most of us are XY (and you can't change that), went through that male puberty (which caused great damage to our bodies
), and also managed to live some of out lives as a man.
It should not be too surprising that we have some guyish traits. There is not much difference in a person pre- or post-transition other than some legal stuff and the fact that we generally aren't as ugly as before
And of course, we don't puke if we see ourselves naked any more.
Love,
Kelly

Kelly,
Never did have that problem.
However, a lot of times everyone else puked. I didn't give a flying fuck, it was thir problem and not mine if they were that easily intimidated.
