Hello,
has anybody here experiences with male pattern baldness after surgical castration?
I was of the opinion that it definitely stopps after castration
because of the lack of testosterone, which causes hairloss.
The FAQ says, that it possibly just slows down.
Who can make me see more clearly?

Hi Annie!
Betr. Derzeitiger Testosteron Spiegel 1 -2 nmol/l.
Gruss
Jeo
Message repeats in English. Conc. Loss of hair: All the literature says so: the absence of testosterone stops the loss of hair. My experience is even better: partially, fallen out hair even comes back. Actually, both is completely unscientific. Nobody ever shaved the eunuchs heads regularly and weighed the results. So we have to live with estimates. And my impression in the mirror is that the middle of my shining- through skull is covered better again. Also a friend, who knows me for a while, says so. And even better: the middle of my head now feels again like real skin and not like bacon rind. Background: castrated 2001 by Doc Spector. At age of 52. Current testosterone level 1 - 2 nmol/l.
regards

Re: male pattern baldness
Hello,
There is to much veriation between indivuals. But baldness can reverve, stop and even continue, also alot depends on the age you were castrated, the younger the less chance of male pattern baldness.
