Recipe for Flatulence

For those of you who want to get rid of Holiday house guests, might I suggest the following:

Chili, made with deer meat.

Simmer with small potato chunks and mild peppers, add beans and other ingredients to taste. Red hot chilli beans are good. Delicately season with red pepper and eat with saltines.

Goes well with a fine light red wine, or beer.:D

2 hours later, your houseguests should be leaving.🤫

😄

I'm sure Paolo speaks from solid practical experience. I would dispute his wine choice, however. Venison chili goes best with a sturdy red wine, such as Syrah or Zinfandel.

Now, if only I could convince my wife that deer are even edible.... We certainly feed enough of them around here. They're nice and fat with all the flowers and shrubs that we seem to be feeding them.

Red, white, green, who cares🤫 ...if it's there, I drink it.

Hey - - - if there's enough hot pepper in the chili, who cares what wine you drink with it! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Thunderbird in Quart plastic bottles from Ohio

(oops, that's too good)

Ripple in gallon plastic baggies from West Virginia will do

Harumph!!!

I'm trying to make a wine drinker of myself. I have decided that beer, when consumed in the quantities of which I partake, is not very ladylike. I'm trying very hard to like wine. I bought a case (no, not a wine box - 6 bottles!) before Thanksgiving from a local vineyard/winery, and the lady who owns it was very helpful. We tasted over a dozen wines before selecting four different types, and they were delightful. If I'm drinking at home, though, as long as I don't have company over, I'll keep drinking beer.

Mmmm.....beer..

As for the deer - my dad is an avid hunter and insists on bringing me the spoils of his outings, I have a huge freezer full of the crap all the time. Blech. The sausage isn't too bad, but I think that's because he has pork fat added to it at the processing facility. It's good in dirty rice or with red beans and rice. I can't even think about eatin git any other way. I've started passing it off on the elderly neighbors, and they love it.
