Can't find it anywhere now....
Anyone know or remember or know where I can get info on the type of surgical castration where all of the tubes leading to the testes are cut/removed EXCEPT the main blood vessel? I saw this a while back & it causes castration, but leaves your testicles intact.
Thanks!

My good friend's father had this done some years ago to treat chronic testicle pain. According to his doctor, who has since died of old age, the procedure involves removing everything except for the blood vessels. The cords are opened up as with a typical vasectomy, however, everything - including the vesicles - are removed. This leaves only the testicle itself and a vein and an artery to each one. I would assume that the sheathing is left to protect them, but I'm not sure. As he told me, his balls certainly feel a great deal smaller, but there's no pain either. Hormone production is not affected. I believe this is also referred to as a "radical vasecetomy" but I could be wrong.

When i had my orchidectomy my doctor just removed the insides of the testical and left the sheathing every thing inside is gone but the vains are still intact is that what you were thinking of.

Not exactly, I was thinking of what Paolo was talking about. However, I've never heard of what you had done Sag. I would like to hear more about it. How are things going now? I guess the biggest question Sag is, "How much of an appearance change was there?"
Thanks!

The hormones are transported by the blood, so you can't acheive castration this way.

Then you also have the 'subcapsular orchidectomy'. With this procedure all functional testicular tissue is been removed (under the capsula), but rest: epididymis, vas deferens and the hole cord (plexus pampiniformis) stays. This procedure has been done esp to treat prostatecancer before hormonal therapy existed. That way the subject could be castrated, but he still had an bit of scrotal content. In fact, you could see it as a simple castration but only the testicle, without surrounding tissue, was removed.
Greetings to everyone,
Vesal

I suffered from a combo of persistent ball pain and hypogonadism and could have probably benefitted from this procedure just as Paulo's friend's father did. However, I didn't mind goin' for the full bilateral orchiectomy procedure and having nothin' in my crotch but an shrunken, empty sac. Of course, most guys would like to save as much as they can and wouldn't welcome the ballless look.
