I was leaning more towards a male lover being responsible - but a female? that could be hot also. I'm sure curious what others think - hope to get a few responses.

In real life there is much more documented castration of the lover by the husband, which is much more fitting, I think.

In such cases the husband always has a good alibi and in certain places of the country it is considered justice.
