Hello

I am a transgender person which in my case means that my sex is male but my gender is somewhere in between male and female. Since my teenager years (I'm 23 now) I could not identify myself with the male role that I was supposed to live in.

Fortunately my outward appearance is rather that of a woman than of a man for some reason. This is really remarkable. Because of this, I was glad about my situation until 2 years ago the male pattern hairloss began. During the last 2 years I tried the regular treatments like propecia and regaine, but it didn' t work.

Honestly I cannot bear the hairloss any longer. The hairloss is killing me. My last hope is to use an antiandrogen in order to inhibit the influence of testosterone on the body. I recently ordered Androcur 50 which I consider to be effective.

And here, finally, is my question: Can anybody give me advice which dosage of Androcur is appropriate in order to stop hairloss and to regain the already lost hair?

Thank you so much

In my opinion, at your age, Androcur 50-100mg daily should be able to do the trick. You can go about this in 2 different ways:

1) Start with 50mg, give it a few months. If results aren't satisfactory, up the dosage to 75mg. And so on.

2) Start at 100mg...I doubt you will need more. After a few months, start reducing by 25mg increments (to 75mg). If you're still doing well, then go down again. Try to go down to 50mg and stay there. If 50mg is not good enough, then increase again to 75mg.

Choose whatever option you feel most comfortable with.

Dead hairs will not grow back (you need hair transplant for that). BUT hair will stop shedding/falling and hairs that are becoming vellous may revert back to terminal hairs, stronger and thicker.

Good luck!

Erika :)

🚬 I am hoping I get some degree of re-growth with Depo-Provera. It seems to stop the loss, though.

Hi,

I haven't had any noticeable hair loss. I think my hair has become thicker (on top of my head). :)
