I've been flirting with the idea of chemical castration for many months, in fact I ordered a batch of Androcur and started taking it for a couple weeks. While the effects only kicked in at the end of the two weeks, I didn't like some of the side effects as well as having to take a pill daily ...

So, I've gone ahead and ordered two doses (150mg each) of Depo Provera. Does anyone have any advice about my initial dose? Should I start with 150, then inject another 150 mg in two weeks? Or start with a full 300 mg dose? My goal is to quickly get myself into the "eunuch calm" phase and reduce libido and potency to zero ... I know that if I am still masturbating or having sexual fantasies I might talk myself out of the chemical castration ... but once I'm past the "hump" I'm sure I will be able to continue.

I've also thought about combining the androcur and depo provera at least for the first month or so ... give my testicles a "double whammy" and make sure they are completely shut down.

a little bit more about me: I'm 33 years old, gay, and wish to eliminate my sex drive for many reasons, mostly because it is a source of stress in my life.

any advice or experience in dosing would be appreciated ... my goal is 100% asexualization.

You need to keep in mind that changing hormone levels are not going to be a quick thing. While the journals on treating drug offenders say that 300-400mg of DP is the proper treatment, most around here believe that it is too much. The proper dosage will most likely be 150mg to get started then repeated every 3 to 5 weeks as you need.

It will take several weeks to totally kick in, but it will be worth it. Do not think that you can rush the process. It is medically impossible and not in your best interest to try.

Hello depoboy i was on depo provera for two years and i found that 150mil once a month worked best for me and when i went to 1.25 premarin it realey shut me down.I liked the depo because it is FDA approved and i could get this from my doctor and he could keep an eye on my liver and blood work.

150mgs. every 4 weeks works for me.
