I Think It Was A Mistake

I noticed my entertaining response

to the Castrator Flower! was removed.

I apologize if it gave offense to anyone.

It was certainly tamer than any story

I have ever read on this site.

If the thread originator of Castrator Flower!

took personal offense, I apologize to them.

One would expect someone suggesting a

a story of flowers that cut off genitals specifically,

to have a certain resilient sense of humor.

I do not object to your removal of it.

I enjoyed writing it.

I have not laughed so hard in weeks,

if not months. It is difficult for me to

believe that others would not have been

equally entertained.

Unfortunately, I only saved the first draft.

Though I could probably reconstruct the

changes, if I spent the time.

Wouldn't it be curteous to offer to send

the deleted post to the writer. I spent

a bit of time on it, and don't like to see

good work thrown away.

Also, I think it was a mistake to remove it.

It suggests a xenophobic and alienated current

within these walls. This is to your disadvantage.

I had the idea for a 75 - 125 page novelette

with a plot driver of castration burried indirectly

but drivingly in its core.

Knowing how provicial some people can be,

I would not dare. Here's why:

Doing a page a week it would take me about 2 to

four years. After the first couple weeks people

would begin to complain, where's the castration?

This does not belong here. Go away. This is just

a story.

I guess I don't have a one track mind, and have

this crazy notion that eunuchs and those interested

in castration and penectomy have fuller lives than

these narrow interests.

I'm not going start off:

It was a dark and windy night,

and John's cock and balls

were just cut off.

Really, now!

Even the amputation of body parts fits into life.

It doesn't pop out of No Where, "like a geranium

in a flower pot."

To summarize:

First Consideration:

If you delete a post that shows a significant

time and effort, it would be curteous to provide

a copy of the text to the person through your

personal messaging service.

Second Consideration:

Although I do not object to the removal of my

very short story reply to the "Castrator Flower!"

story suggestion, I believe it was a mistake,

and that it is wholistically in the best interest of

the community here, to restore it to its place, to

provide the entertainment or interest or objection

that it deserves.

"Nothing comes from nothing."

If one of the moderators did in fact delete the post in question, please let me know either here or via private message if you prefer.

I will have to talk to talula on this, but moderators should only be doing "soft" deletes of posts when necessary ... not the selection that physically removes the post from the database.

I don't see any evidence that any post has been deleted (?)
