My day was great, my tattoo is healing nicely and tonight we (gem, talula, and I) went on the Minnesota Zephyr, a five-course meal and a train ride. Good wine, good food, we toasted Julia Childs. Yes it was a great day.

A pretty decent day here, except for hearing about Julia, of course. With Jeff Smith gone, too, that doesn't leave too many of my cooking heros and heroines left.
