Need help: Female equivelant to eunuch?

Hello,

I have a female friend who is very serious about wanting to ... not sure what the proper term is, essentially shut down her female genitalia. She has never had interest in sex, does not want to just become sterile, she wants to eliminate her periods, etc.

Does anyone know of a good eunuch.org-like resource for women interested in this? I fear she is acting rashly, she is not getting the information she needs, I think she could really use a community similar to eunuch.org if anyone knows one.

I have read most of your posts all over the board, I know you have lots of questions.

If you have depression now, dont think about castration until you get the depression totally under control, that would be with your doctors help.

There is a lot of time for you to get castrated, take your time go slow and learn everything you can.

Try chemical castration first, for a year, this will give you an idea what castration will be like.

However, your body does not like parts being removed, and will object when there removed.

Another side effect is osteoporosis. you will need a bone scan every two years. Take 1500 mg of calcium daily.

These are just a few of the many questions you need to ask.

Up until the 1950s, the term "castration" was unisex, and simply refered to the removal of the gonads. Your female friend would need both a hysterectomy AND a castration to obtain what she desires. This is a major surgery.

She might also try the female equivilent of chemical castration for awhile, but I am not sure what drugs would be appropiate and available. Nor would I know whether or how she could get a prescription.

That's what I thought, the ovaries are the female equvelant of male testes and she'll still have her cycles, estrogen, etc. that I think is what she wants to get rid of. I wish I could get her to go to an expert or a site for advice. I wound up sending an e-mail of my own to a place called "hyster sisters" trying to ask for information I can give her.

I wish I knew the magic words or what words I am using that are wrong with her to get her to really check things out. I don't want this to end up being her going, doing something rash and being an I told you so. I wish there was a way I could show her, but she seems hell-bent on going to get this specific procedure done when 1) She hasn't even had a proper diagnosis for the symptoms she complains about (rapid menstruating cycles), 2) She's bypassed medical knowledge to determine for herself her own 'diagnosis' and 'cure' and 3) She doesn't even seem to know the effects of her 'cure' that she's diagnosed.

I am very, very worried about her.

This is of interest to me as well as penectomy casteration.There are females out there that what some form of modication & this proves it.There never seems to be any groups out there on the subject of female casteration or shutting down the female sexual drive or am i blind.Anyway I have the answer to what you are asking.There is a birth control injection that not only stops periods it also takes away the desire to have sex.All she needs to do is have it every 3 months & her dr can do this.Hope ive been some help .THE SLOGGER

She's already taking birth control pills regularly and frequently, but they're not cheap in the quantity and duration she's taking them. The injections are only needed every few months?

Yes.She will only need to go to the dr about every 12 weeks to get it done.What it does is basicly shut down the reproductive system there for stopping periods & the need for sex.Im not sure of the cost but im sure her dr will help her out with her needs.THE SLOGGER
