Just thought that I'd throw out how things have going w/ my diet & HRT.

In last five months...

Weight Start 460; Now 380

Blood Pressure Start 140/85; Now 106/68 (Perfect!)

Cholesterol Start 220; Now 108 (Perfect!)

LDL Cholesterol (Bad) Start 162; Now 53 (Perfect!) Hardly ever seen this low!

HDL Cholesterol (Good) Start 38; Now 28 (A little low)

Triglyceride Level (fat in blood) Start 448; Now 136 (Perfect!) Incredibly low!

Height 6'2"

Waist Start 60; Now 54

Neck Start 24; Now 22

Chest Start 64; Now 58

T-Shirt Start 5X/6X; Now 3X/4X

Pretty simple & easy. I'm following Dr. Ted Broer's book "Maximum Fat Loss". It's incredibly simple & effective, plus, Dr. Broer endorses natural supplements. I just take the Men's supplements as directed along with a black cohosh/saw palmetto based hrt supplement.

Not only am I loosing weight w/ hrt which normally goes the other way, but my libido which was raging is much more managable!

I'd sure reccomend getting Dr. Broers book at Amazon.com or Dr. Broers website http://www.healthmasters.com/.

Oh... And by the way... My Doctor says that I just might live long enough now for him to make some money off of me!!!

I'd be happy to answer any questions, just ask!!!

Not Quite as BIG! 🚶

Wow! Those are some major accomplishments and you should be hella proud. I have never had a weight problem, but many of my family members, and now in-laws have, and I have seen them suffer in many ways. My mom was a Weight Watchers counselor for many years and I have heard so many stories of health problems, emotional problems and discrimination that my mom's friends have dealth with over the years. Kudos to you! And good luck on the rest of your journey.

Thanks!

The key is calorie consumption & fat intake. No bad fats & not much good fat either & watch your calories. It is possible to not only NOT gain weight w/ HRT but even loose weight!

BTW... Can now wear my old 48" waist Wrangler shorts. 10" gone from waist!!!

Not so BIG!

Overall calorie intake is the MAIN factor, yes. However, if you are not that active and/or have a sit-down job (like I do) sugars and carbs are a huge enemy too. If you're only using up 2500 calories a day, but you're not taking in "good" stuff, then you're still going to gain weight even if you watch the calorie count. Atkins, while his diet is NOT the whole cure-all, was onto something there. That, and drink water. If you weigh 200 lbs., try to drink 100 oz. of water a day. Just the water intake will help you shed a few more lbs. in a few weeks.
