Chemically Castrated & Don't Even Know It???

This is one of those Ummmmmms..........
Did a Google search for "Androgen Blockers" yesterday. Most of what I got back was for "Hair Regrowth". Seems lots of companies are pumping out Androgen blockers to stop the production of testosterone which will in turn stop/reverse male pattern baldness.
Am I missing something here or are there millions of men running around out there in this world that have chemically castrated & don't even know it?
Kinda blew my mind!
Thanks!!!
BIG

There is no doubt that men who hold onto a full head of hair into late maturity have achieved this genetically and it goes through the generations and is obviously related to testosterone. Men who over produce it go bald quite young and this explains why it is fashionable now for young men to shave their heads - it hides their bald patches and any greying too.
I'm 48 and have a thick full head of hair which will continue for many years to come and that would have been the case even if I was not on Androcur.
As for "Hair Dyes" generally despite some aggressive advertising, men avoid these products because the results colour wise are always so false and obvious. They'd prefer to shave their heads or comb a wisp across if they are going thin. No doubt, in order to work (in theory at least) these products would appear to have to reduce testosterone and so I think your question is a valid and interesting one.

Propecia, the hair pill, deals with blocking the transformation of dyhydrotestosterone and may cause sexual side effects. It can also screw up a male fetus badly in the genital department if the mother gets hold of the stuff.
I also read a good article about the "Chemical Castration of Boys", due to overmedication with Ritalin, Concerta, Adderall, etc. If I can find it, I'll repost it, if Jesus doesn't beat me to it!

You might walk around skid row and notice that alcoholics have lots of hair probably from destroying their balls. I'm sure they function as eunuchs.

Giving it a touch more thought it does seem kind of nicely ironic that the vain sort of guy who would choose "hair regrowth products" would find that he'd only achieve more crown growth on his scalp (that is if the products work) at the expense of sexual arousal etc [possibly]. The makers must have considered this and at the same time they must be reducing testosterone production. If it does nothing for the guys hair at least it could make them into gentler, nicer people!

How else can you stop male pattern baldness? It's caused by Testosterone and it's prevented with estrogen.
Back in the mid 80's I quit taking a very specific muscle relaxant and noticed that I got erect much, much easier. Not that I wasn't horny, I just didn't get erect. So that was a side effect of the drug.
A friend of mine has taken mood supressants to prevent anger attacks and he just can't get it up at all. We can kiss and smooch and lick and all that, and in about two minutes he breathes heavy, warms up and puts out one drop of fluid. That's his orgasm due to drugs.

Tagamet (cimetidine) is probably one of the worst (or best, depending upon how you look at it) for unintentional chemical castration. I believe that 800-1200 mg/day is enough to cause quite a bit of disfunction. Does anyone have experience with larger doses of cimetidine or any other over the counter drug or herb?
