I guess that nobody has had any experience with this surgery. I was curious as I am scheduled for it on June 8.

I used to belong to a group devoted to prostate problems, and there were lots of experieces posted regarding various treatments. It may have been a usnet group. It's been a while so I don't have the URLs.

The time is near now. I have to be in the hospital at 7:00 AM on Tuesday with surgery scheduled for 8:30 AM.
Unfortunately I will still be stuck with both the cock and balls.

Dear Paolo and Sag,
Thank you for your concern. Today is four weeks since my surgery and I am sorry for not updating you sooner.
My surgery went well and the initial results were better than I expected. I didnÂ’t have any real pain or discomfort following the surgery. I was able to leave the hospital without a catheter and had only light bleeding for the first couple days. I felt good enough to go out for breakfast on the way home from the hospital.
The problems began about 2 weeks following my surgery when I developed a urinary track infection. It resulted in moderate bleeding and painful urination, which I didnÂ’t have for the first two weeks. I didnÂ’t realize it immediately and it was another week before it was diagnosed and I started on antibiotics. This is the eighth day on the antibiotics and I am going back in for another urinalysis to see how the infection is progressing. It will take three days to get the results.
I will try to update you again in another week.
Unfortunately, I still have all of the unwanted parts.
Mac

I had my next doctor appointment on Tuesday, August 3 - almost 2 months following my surgery. I am doing well and my progress to date is great even though some difficulty exists. I have been off all medications for almost a month and the doctor wants to see me again in 6 months.
