How long after you've been castrated do the hormonal effects take to kick in (on average)? For any of you who have been cut, did you go on HRT immediately or wait a while?

true. but some people are happy as they are except for wanting no tesitcles. I for one have wanted no testicles and scrotum for a long time but am not sure if I could cope without the hormones. Just the knowledge that you are castrated or a eunuch (for looks or otherwise) is good, I would imagine that hormones help.

I just got done posting to a similar thread.

HRT can be hard on your liver especially in the pill form, and I know some people cannot handle it, so be careful when you think about castration and plan on HRT as syntetic Testosterone is not right for everyone and finding out when it is too late is not a good thing.

I wouldn't want HRT if I have mine removed. But does the night sweats and hot flashes last forever ? Or do they die off with time.I'm hoping I wouldn't get depression.

Did u wait to see if the sweats stoped on there own ? I don't want to do HRT. Any others have this problem ?

the hormonal effects kick in 2 to 3 days after you are cut. and without hrt they stay untill your body is used to work without testosteron.

it is one of the effects that occur whitout balls. why worry about it. it disapearce thats for sure. and again , why go on male hormones when you want to get cut?

CutMeInOz i to donot understand why you would want to go on HRT but i also know everyone is diffrent.For me i went on Chemical castration first to see if i even liked it and then after two years on this i had my orchidectomy and so far i like it.Remember an orchidectomy is for real and if you dont like it for some reason it is to late but chemicales can be reversed if you arnt on them to long so think about everything first please.

Back to square one. Please read the FAQ on The Effects of Castration. Then re-post as to which effects you need a suggested time-line on. I am 3 years a eunuch, but use a low dose of Premarin to supress the hot flashing. But this has had little effect on the other consequences of ultra-low testosteron levels.
