Erections after chemical castration (my 1st post)

Hi, this is my first post. I have been lurking for some time now and have learned a great deal from all of you and I want to thank you.
I have started taking Androcur and am on my third week now. I started with two 50mg tablets a day for the first week and now take one 50mg tablet a day. The effects are just starting to kick in.
The reason I have chosen to pursue my chemical castration is that I am obsessed with sex to a point that it is all consuming and having a negative effect on my marriage and life in general. Even the thought of castration is a real turn on for me. That is how obsessive I am with sexual topics. Everything turns me on and I think about not only intercourse but sexuality in general nearly 100% of the day. I really hope that as my sex drive gradually diminishes I will be able to focus on other aspects of life and be a much happier person and loving husband.
My wife is supportive of the idea. She is often on the receiving end of my desires and often feels the brunt of my sexual frustration. She is glad that I want to do something to make our relationship stronger without the constant obsession with sexuality that I have.
I do have a question for the group: are erections still possible after chemical castration? I can still get an erection that is about 80% of what it used to be . I know this ability will continually decrease, but if I take something like Viagra can I still get it up? My wife is concerned that if I no longer have an interest in or have the ability to have sex I will be happy, but she will be left without any sex. She is not a highly sexual person, but would still like to be intimate once or twice a month.
Thanks for reading. Any comments will be appreciated. Once agian, thanks to all of you for the information. I really enjoy this forum.

Well that is something that differs from person to person and dosage you are on. Most likely being on 100mg or 50mg a day you should be able to get an errection if you try and give it enough time.
There are a lot of ways to also be sexual without intercourse also, maybe you and your wife will be able to find something to take the place of intercourse, if you are unable to get an errection.

I have been chemically castrated for three months with Androcur (150 mg a day for the first months)...now 100mg. I am impotent and cannot achieve natural erections and have lost substantial libido which of course was the reason for my voluntary castration . My wife recently ordered a penis pump on EBAY and when she applies the pump for only a few minutes I have a sufficent erection to penetrate her vagina and give her the pleasure she is looking for. This in a sense is mechanical sex and she has regular orgasyms. I do not have them. In a sense I feel this is female rape of a man.....and that seems to turn her and her new boyfriend on a great deal particularly when HE applies the pump to harden the "eunuch's cock" as he puts it...and then flips me over to penetrate me before she has her way. I am sure there are individual differences with reactions to Androcur and not everyone buys into this bi-sexual triangle approach to pleasing others. Cheers.

Hi Gene i to have been obessed with sex and for the last two years i have been on depo provera and it has done everything i wanted it to do .The best part is that i now spend a lot of thoes hours that i wasted on sex addection with my wife and just being a loving husband for a change. Now i can still get an erection but no orgasem any more but for me i dont care i abused myself enough that i dont want it anymore. My wife is so happy to have a husband that cares about her that we get by with sex the best way we can and have found other ways to enjoy our closness.
We are so happy the way we are that next month i am going in for the surgery to elemate testosterone once and for all so i like that you have chosen the androcur first it will give you and your wife time to see if you are happy with this.Take care and i am so glad you are here.

I have been on DP for over a year straight. I still get erections & can masturbate to orgasm if I REALLY work at it, just to measure semen volume per ejaculation, which has been gradually decreasing. Sometimes. though, I will just get bored & quit.

Do not expect to be able to achieve or maintain a errection for much longer. Chemical castration is effective in removing the male sex drive. Your wife may have to look to other methods of satisfaction. I had my balls removed over 3 years ago and have not been able to acheive errections for 27 months.

Look Gene,
It's all about what you want. There are a lot of methods. For example, my balls haven't produced testosterone since I was 14 when they were almost ripped off in an accident. But I have found that if I take a certain amount of testosterone and decadurabolin together I have a sex drive that matches my wife's. The deca, at 100mg per week, helps me to go a long time before orgasm, which she enjoys. The high level of testosterone cypionate (because I take about 800mg a week) actually reduces my sex drive to the point that I am always ready for sex but I don't care about it unless she wants it... I don't ever feel urgent or desperate (so foreplay is very gentle and long for her). But it does give me a desire to exercise a couple hours a day so I'm in great shape (she likes that too). That's my "silver bullet". Your's may be slightly different. Find a preventive medical clinic and please feel free to message me. We are all here to help you.
