Tribute to Riverwind

I can't speak for the rest of the members who either go to the chatroom or write threads or answer posts on the Message Boards, but, in my opinion, one of our greatest assets on this site is a bloke named Riverwind.

I have known River for about two years now. He is a polite, funny and competent member of the Eunuch Archive. As the boss of the chat room, he has always looked out for the needs and interests of his op's, of which I am proud to be one.

When we have problems, he shares them with us. When we have stress or hurts, he feels our pain. When we have questions, he answers them in a timely manner. If we have a problem, he risks "hell and high water" to solve them.

In my own case, he stood as an iron shield for me when I was griping about something on the boards, protecting me from the wrath of more powerful beings.

River backs up his site room operators to the hilt (when we are in the right). He has never yelled at me, been disrespectful or shown any other emotion towards me except for concern and friendship.

The most important thing about River, to me, however, is that "he is my friend." I'm usually not a person who shows much "open affection" in public but I consider River my brother in every sense of the word.

If there are any awards given out to super guys, River deserves them.

He even allows me to use him as my comedic sounding board.

River, if ya read this, I'll take the 5th (preferably Gin).

The chatroom is a nice place to let your hair down and (atleast pretend to) be what you want to be. it is a fun place because we are guided well. Many of us need a quiet safe place to play and you have made it that for us. i don't know what we would do without you. you are the best, River we all love you!

I agree about Riverwind. He is a fantastic addition to the archive staff and works hard to do what he does.

Kudo's River.

P.S.

Paolo works very hard. Krister works very hard too.

And the next time you are in LA, I'd like to treat you to a great dinner at this local Chinese Restaurant I frequeently go to. If not Chinese, then Mexican, or anything else you might want.
