Hi everyone,

I'm new to the group. I 38yo and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am in the process of booking into The Samui Clinic in August for castration and scrotum removal. I just wondered if anyone here had been done at the Samui Clinic and their experience. Also, has anyone here been castrated and had their sack removed at the same time and if so what was your healing time?

Regards :)

Jed

Thanks for the info Marca. I gathered it would be longer than just a straight cut out. I plan to stay over there for a 'holiday' for a couple of weeks afterward.

Hi,

I am having my scrotum removed next month. My doctor said to rest two days before travelling, because I'm going out of my home state to have this done. My doctor also said it will heal like a vasectomy. I had a vasectomy years ago, and went back to work the next day. I hope this information is true, because like you, I am a little worried about POST OPT. GOOD LUCK.

Hello, dear. Welcome to the E. A.

I have not heard from anyone who has been to the Samui Clinic in Thailand. I hope that you will fill us in and perhaps write a report for the rest of us.

I had sex reassignment surgery in Thailand, but I went to a well-known clinic, and was able to read reports from others who went before me.

The Samui Clinic is not exactly, new; it has been on the 'net for a few years now. They fill a market need--getting genital surgeries that are often considered non-standard (e.g., scrotal removal) or for those who do not neatly fit standard patient profiles (e.g., sex reassignment or castration for people who are not transsexual). They should do well and I assume that they have a good customer base.

Healing from a castration (which I had in the US) took a matter of days or weeks (it is gradual), but I was back at work in three days, I think. Your procedure will be more involved and take longer. The sex reassignment is major surgery with a lengthy healing time, but even then, I was back at work in about four weeks. I would guess that at least a week off from work or perhaps more might be beneficial for you. Plus, you will be in Thailand, and it may be best to rest there as much as you can before heading back.

Love,

Kelly :)

Thanks Kelly!

Very interesting. I think I will stay there for at least a couple of weeks as if I feel up to it, I can actually enjoy a bit of a holiday as well as the other! :)

CutEmInOz, So, did you go to the Samui Clinic for the removal? If so, could you share your experience with us?

Jed,

I'd be interested in your procedure if you had it done. My own experience from castration is that I was back at work 2 days afterward and fully recovered (all bruising and swelling gone and wounds - 2 small incisions in sac - healed) in about 3 weeks.
