Richard Wassersug has just written to me to indicate that his essay on the eunuchs of the Byzantine world has just come out in the May-June issue Gay & Lesbian Review under the title of "Eunuch Power in Old Byzantium."

I read and commented on an earlier draft of the article. It is very well written and I highly recommend it, though I have not yet seen a copy of the final version.
