She has been an inspiration to me for many years. I remember the controversy very well and I remember how stunned people were that they could not tell just by looking. It seemed in some ways a step forward but for her it was an unwelcome intrusion into her personal life. She is a brave soul though and continues to struggle for all our rites. I admire her more today than I did even when this story originally broke.
