Pueros has managed to do it again! While you may begin to feel that you’re going to get carsick bouncing from one time and place to another, the end point is well worth the ride. There is clear purpose to all of the shifting.

Like all of Pueros’ best work, the story is based on clear and accepted historic information. MOST of what he writes is accepted by all modern historians. You read it in your high school history texts. Much of the rest is speculative, though accepted by some professional historians. What is exciting is Pueros’ very minor (and perfectly logical) deviations from what is in the academic literature. Everything that is in the story as Pueros has written it is perfectly plausible. It could ALL be true!

Once you reach the end of the story and realize what has just transpired, it will revise your entire memory of your high school history courses.

Readers of “Liberté! Egalité! Fraternité!” might like to now that the supposed heart of little Louis XVI will be ceremonially laid to rest alongside his alleged parents in the royal crypt of the church of St. Denis, Paris, this forthcoming Tuesday, 8th June 2004. A Mass will be conducted by the Archbishop emeritus of Tours in front of French and foreign dignitaries, including exiled royalty, although no state officials or members of ruling royal families will be present. The ceremony is proceeding on the basis of the contested authentication by some scientists and historians of the pickled organ as being directly linked to Marie Antoinette, and so must be that of the child King.

Of course, the more learned readers of “Liberté! Egalité! Fraternité!” might know better, recognising where Louis XVI’s heart is really already resting for eternity!
