Those troublesome male parts

I have been absent from the board the past four weeks as I have been having problems with those darn male parts. The current problem started when I took some over the counter cold medication the end of last month.

I got severe inflammation of the prostate, which greatly hindered my urine flow while giving me constant painful urges to urinate. It didn’t clear up and I had to go to the doctor the following week. I have been on antibiotics and ibuprofen going on four weeks and it has been a slow, frustrating and painful process. I had been having some problems prior to this incident and am still not back to where I was before it started.

I have an appointment with a urologist for Tuesday, March 30. That will be a whole month since the current problem started.

Any ideas as to what solutions he might offer? Would be great if I could get rid of all those things (penis, testicles and prostate).

That brings up a good question – Do trans girls ever have prostate problems?

😿 The real downside of my absence from the board – I was not missed. 😿

The answer is NO, as the female hormones atrophy the prostate fast than having no male hormones. MtoFs and Eunuchs that do not take Testosterone or Androgy hormones, the prostate will atrophy as it needs the male hormones.

Hello, dear.

We do know that castration and female hormones are common treatments for prostate cancer, but asking for these as preventive medicine might be difficult unless you find a doctor that would accomodate you.

You can always have castration by Dr. Kimmel. And female hormones are available from overseas via the internet. Such things are doable DIY.

Also, have you considered transgender therapy? Castration and female hormones are indicated for MTF transsexuals, and these are relatively easy for them to obtain.

Hugs,

Kelly :)

Very rarely, but it can happen:

On theoretical grounds orchiectomized and estrogen-treated male-to-female transsexuals would therefore seem little at risk. There are, however theoretical considerations for a role of estrogens in the etiology of prostate disease: prostate hyperplasia and cancer typically develop when testosterone are falling and estrogen levels are rising. We conducted a study in nine male-to-female transsexuals between ages 51-71 years who had been orchiectomized and treated with estrogens for 13 to 19 years. The prostate biopsies showed no signs of hyperplasia or cancer. Two cases of prostate carcinoma have been reported in the literature and we have observed recently a case of prostate carcinoma with metastases in a 64 year old person who had undergone orchiectomy 11 years ago and had been treated with anti-androgens and estrogens. The prevalence of prostate carcinoma is fortunately low but the diagnosis should not be dismissed in male-to-female transsexuals.

Hugs,

Kelly :)

What do I ask the urologist and how do I get him to satisfy my needs? I will willingly give up both my penis and testicles and go on female hormones if that is what is required to get relief.

You know, WE as a whole have to stop treating our doctors, whom We employ, as arbitors of candy and tokens. It should not even be presented as a 'May I' prognosis, but rather TOLD as a THIS is what we are going to do about ME!

It's far time people like ourselves stand up and right the wrongs of doctors who refuse to accept predispositions and human conditions THEY are too uneducated to understand. It's not MY fault. I'm TIRED of the idea they hold a key to a solution for a problem they are unable to diagnose.

Tell the doctor what your intentions are. Tell him what your solution is, and tell him you can give him TWENTY reasons why it would be effective and necessary. Then ask him if he can give your FOUR reasons why you shouldn't be entitled to it. I'll BET he can't do it.

It's time we stop begging, stop asking permission for treatments we know are available, for problems our doctors are too unschooled to accept or understand!

Sounds to me like you are rather desperate. Is it all that bad?

like you are rather desperate. Is it all that bad?Yes, I am that desperate. It is rather painful and uncomfortable, and none of those parts provide any real benefit for me anymore.

Mac,

Send Tomas a private message. I understand that his doctor is in the Northwest around Seattle.

Maybe you can get a referral if you reall want neutered.

Although all you may need is a trans-urethral resection or a "TUR" if you have benign prostate disease.

The good news is that a TUR preserves sexual function, if you still have it.
